Vanes Martrosyan, has 30 wins no losses and hasn't got a title shot and has been calling out Canelo

Erislandy Lara, Powerful and bet Paul Williams impressively.

Paul Williams, Former Champion, Still has a little oil in the tank. Coming off a gifted win

Alfredo Angulo, Wants a shot at Canelo and shows very impressive fights in the ring.

    Carlos Molina, Good upcoming fighter.

    A little sad to me....

Because despite having a belt, Canelo is not a world champ. He just isn't. It was basically handed to him by Suliman.

With that said, expect more 'tune up' style fights for another year. He'll get they HBO "Berto" treatment for now, seeing as he's a cash cow in the making.

    Exactly.....Canelo and Chavez Jr. both.

.....the forum should stop pretending that these two guys are getting preferential treatment, because the facts are that this has been going on ever since I've been a fan, and will continue to go on with future gate driven prospects in the future.

Unfortunately for the more deserving contenders, this is what boxing has been, and will most likely be in the very far future.

If Gomez was a one off that would be fine. But to have Baldomir-Ndou-Hatton-Rhodes-Gomez in sequence is indefensible and a disgrace to the sport. World champion?? GTFO!

It's about building a brand. First he fought a guy with a familiar last name, now he's moving to a guy with a famous backstory and decent fan base.

I still see him getting a real test or two long before Chavez Jr. does.

he's taking a page from jcc's book "how to **** the mexican public" by fighting a bunch of journeyman and b level fighters to fool the mexican fanbase that he's something special and becoming a millionaire in the process.

Does anyone here believe Canelo could beat Cotto, a legit chamion, right now?

Fighters the caliber of Cotto, Canelo just isn't ready for yet, and that's fine, but he shouldn't be considered a world champion until he is ready to compete with the Cotto's of his weight class.

You act like Canelo will never fight these guys! Hes gonna fight 2 more times this year so it can be Gomez then somebody on that list. Angulo is nowhere to be found the last year, Molina....HA, I would like a Lara fight but t would be up to him to fight in 2 months but he wants his rematch with Williams.

Dont worry Canelo will be dropping them one by one

Exactly! Both TR and GBP have their cash cows with belts more or less handed to them. I don't expect either guy to actually step up just yet.

And with that said, if we don't recognize them as the real champs, we shouldn't hold them to that standard. Chavez Jr and Alvarez are nothing more then contenders in their respective divisions.

He could be Cotto and you gotta be a fool not to think so. and you say Cotto;s of the weight class??? HES THE ONLY ONE!! K-9 is the only other title holder and Canelo would spank him around, Canelo is 3rd or 4th in that weight class.
