If you are a boxing fan and appreciate the art of boxing why doesn't anyone ever mention Guillermo Rigondeaux as the pound for pound best boxer in the world? There are only 4 names in the conversation which is..Floyd, Klitschiko, Ward and Rigo. Agree or no?

It's hard on all of the Cuban fighters who are not white really which doesn't exist in boxing. They have 2 problems
    1. They can't relate to Black Americans and don't try to.
    2. They refuse to learn or speak English in any way.

Every other fighter has a built in fanbase just waiting to jump on the wagon. These guys are excellent fighters but are hard as day old dog **** to sell to the public.

Rigo is the best of the best but Arum don't love anything that can't make a dollar and his current managers are stupid. Hopefully he takes Erislandy's advice and goes with Haymon. At least he will be seen on TV and be active.

Nobody goes to Kovalev's fights or really considers him the top dog at 175. That still belongs to Adonis because of his PAST resume. He has beat the better men.

I think Rigo gets enough love from boxing fans. There are plenty of excellent fighters in the lower weights, but not many of them get a lot of attention.

His style, though impressive to hardcore boxing fans, doesn't sell well to the masses. He knows this, but he hasn't adapted at all. He needs to either change in the ring or out of the ring.

No one would give a **** about Mayweather relatively if he was silent like Rigo and still fought his pot shotting, clinching style.

Rigo and most Cuban fighters make Vazquez look like Tyson, he's not as bad as other's but the dude is Extremely Boring and no one wants to see that.

P4P, sure. But not the best. He's truly underrated by most.

Most boxing fans appreciate Rigo.and has Rigo as top 5P4P.but i mean you have to be hardcore to like Rigo.if you watch boxing 1-2 Times a month.Rigo is the last thing you want to watch.Rigo fighting makes MMA and ground hugging seems the greatest thingon the world.if you are not hardcore.

And even most hardcore fans like that something actually happens in the fight.

And if i want to see amazing level of boxing displayed(exciting too) i go watch some SRR etc...

Because his fighting style isn't brainless. All you need is an exciting fighting style and a long list of tomato cans to apply that style against and you're getting all the hype you want. Just take a look at GGG's career.

Well, I prefer his fighting style to Mayweather's for starters. He stays in punching range.

With that said, Rigondeaux slows the pace of the fight down to levels that are not meant for entertainment. He plays to win by outpointing. It's common sense. If that's the underlying fight philosophy you're going to have, you deserve to face the consequences, which is less income.

Remember when Rios and Alvarado were in a war, and then Alvarado chickened out of the war and just chose to outpoint Rios instead towards the end of the fight? That exemplifies why these tyes of fighters should get no real love.

Defensive capabilities are greatest when you have the philosophy to win by fighting, and you use a decent amount of aggression in your fights, using nuanced defence during your aggression, too.

Nah, he's above Ward, beating Smitg doesn't put tou back at 6, he has to beat a top opponent for me before climbing back rup in rankings.

As for Rigo, I think most people appreciate his skills but he's just not interesting to watch for them, which is a shame, the man who epitomizes the sport the most struggles to get any fans.
