Why has Adamek's punching power not carried over to HW unlike Haye's?

Adamek had good power at LHW, not at CW as I recall. And def. not at HW. Haye never fought at LHW. So the comparison isn't very good.

Mainly due to size- Haye was dehydrating and weight cutting to make weight at cruiser limit, and he had troubles in doing that- he said he was at 70% of his potential at cruiserweights, take what you want out of that.

Also, Adamek wasn't really a power puncher already at cruisers- he was an accumulation puncher, his strong points have always been his chin and his workrate with his stamina.

    Because everyone is different?

Haye is a heavyweight who was draining himself imo. Dude is a beast.

No, i saw a clip of a bum giving jelly legs to Valuev landing a lucky wild hook right on the chin's side, turning his giant head from side to side.

Valuev didn't go down only because he literally used that bum as a crutch, resting his entire weight on him- it lasted just few seconds, though.

Now, if any kind user remember that scene and the bum's name...

Thread should read "Why did Haye leave his balls in the locker room before his HW fights"

Adamek had good power at cruiserweight.

He had five stoppages in seven fights: Banks, Bell, Pineda, Gunn, and Gomez. In another fight, he knocked Cunningham down three times.

Adamek was never a KO puncher.. he hits hard.. but not that hard. Have you watched the guy fight?

Also, Haye's power at HW is overrated.

haye landed his perfectly timed ideal punch on valuevs neck...100% neck...most fighters would be seriously hurt if they took a huge shot fully on the neck...thats why valuev did the dance...

J.F. Bergeron (aka. Beeker from the Muppets)

Also, Bidenko and Barrett also hurt Valuev. People really need to realize that Haye's power at HW is a myth. It took Haye 6 consecutive shots to drop Chisora, he rabbit punched Ruiz into a TKO, nodded at Harrison to let him know to take the dive then.

Haye did nothing when he fought Vladimir Klitschko, all he did was run, hold on to Vlad's legs, fall down on the canvas, he was a disgrace........

This kind of shot is the worst possible in boxe, everyone go down with that.

The only time Gatti knocked down Ward was with this type of shot, nothing else worked.

its funny that haye fans claim that hayes power is great because he wobbled valuev...i honestly think any heavyweight could hurt valuev if they land a hayemaker on his huge neck...haye has power no doubt...but its not as high as ppl think. hes more a clinical finisher...take for example his ko over audley harrison...haye is landing a dozen shots and harrison is barely going down. compare that to lets say the kos harrison suffered at the hands of price and wilder...haye does have power but its not on the level of those punchers...his main attribute is speed and timing...i used to be a bug haye fan...but after the klitschko fight...i lost respect for him as a fighter...i wouldve respected him more if he got koed by vlad but gave it a go...he knew he was losing and prefered to lose by decision than gamble with kos...no real man accepts defeat so easily
