Why has Cotto not signed to fight margarito yet?

    It should be in Vegas. Cotto needs the exposure out west it would be a great move for his career.

    I think that Berto is a bit green for both of these guys but he is difinitely a powerhouse!

    maybe he and Clottey can fight in the meantime.

    I agree, now that Vegas has changed it's rules on gloves, I don't any reason why he should not fight there and it would do wonders for him in terms of exposure.

    Or fight anywhere, Arum wants him to fight in Vergas for the exposer. The Margo camp is willing to go to PR and fight. Team Cotto is half-steppin here.

    the fight hasn't been signed because cotto has a mandatory against clottey (i think) that is likely to be waved anyway (i think i got that right but there's definitely a mandatory that needs to be pushed out first).

    word is that this fight will go ahead (cotto-margarito), but it would be nice to see it set in stone, wouldn't it?

    Note to Bob Arum:

    Please make it official already and have a damn press conference and the whole bit so that we the fans have a better Idea of what is going on and start making our flight arrangements on time. Not me for this fight anyway, but for those with disposable income anyway.

    any word? Has Cotto signed yet?

    Team Cotto Said it was to happen this week, and the weeks almost finished. I've been checking several Boxing news sites that have been reporting on this but no updateds. Just wondering if anyones heard anything...
