Why has Garcia vs Tank been made before Spence and Crawford?

It seems as though casuals and hardcore boxing fans have been calling for Spence and Crawford way more than Garcia vs Tank. Yet, here we are still waiting for the Spence and Crawford to be made. Is there a racial emement to this? Do promoters feel that two black fighters don't sell as well as a black fighter vs a Hispanic? Or has Crawford and Spence both been promoted very bad?

Because tank and Ryan isn’t a fight with any type of major implications on the sport it’s just a money grab between 2 scrubs, EJ and bud actually got something to lose and both are accomplished and got real egos..

I think both Tank and Ryan have something to lose. Both have huge followings and both are elite talents. An argument could be made that these two both have better resumes than Crawford and Spence

The fight was easier to make. Crawford wants 50/50, and for a resume that weak at 147 pounds, Spence isnt going to let that happen. Heard they came to an agreement tho, hope they announce the fight soon.

Wtf did I just read? I know folks question both Bud and Spence's resume but they are both night and day compared to Tank & Garcia!

Leo Santa Cruz and Campbell are better than Danny, Porter, and Ugas. I don't think that could be argued

Not so long ago, the welterweight division was stacked with great fighters that actually fought against each other. Floyd and Pac avoided each other but eventually fought at a point where it was still relevant although nowhere near as relevant as it was in 2009/10.

The current welterweight division has no quality in comparison. The top 2 are avoiding each other and the rest of the division is trash. This is how to make people lose interest in boxing.

bro GTFOH who has either tank or Ryan beat that was elite or at the top of they division ever? Them boys ain’t elite talents they are guys who have consistently run away from the best guys in they division yet somehow are considered popular based off beating nobody? I’m not even a bud fan but homie been lineal at 135 and undisputed at 140 EJ is 3-belt unified at 147.. Ryan has never won a title or even fought a champion ever, and tank only title was at 130 and been ducking the champs ever since.

Screw belts. Luke Campbell, Cruz, and Barrios are better fighters than the ones Crawford and Spence have fought. Belts don't matter, names do. There's a reason Leonard ranks higher than Floyd even though Floyd "accomplished" more

As always in boxing, the answer is money.

Davis and Garcia are MUCH bigger draws, so there’s enough money in the pot for both of them to want to put their undefeated records on the line.

Whereas realistically, casuals don’t really care about Spence vs Crawford, so it’s a big-enough fight commercially for either man to want to face each other while they can make similar money fighting lesser opponents.
