Why has Grzegorz Proksa been moved so slowly?

I watched Proksa on the undercard of Pacquiao/Morales II and regarded him as a good prospect. That was more than four years ago, and though he remains undefeated, he still has been fighting a lot of soft touches.

According to BoxRec he's about to fight a so-so fighter for the EBU belt or whatever, but I'm having a hard time understanding why his career has been managed the way it has.

Any Proksa fans -- and at one time, there were several here -- want to chime in?

He's had injury set-backs. Broke his hand a couple of times I think, or at least once.

Ah. That makes more sense. Have you seen any of him lately?

Injuries plus bad promoting/managment. He was training in a hungarian stable with Sosnowski, now most of the time he's training in his little town in Poland and goes to England just few weeks before the fight. Needs more exposure and better opponents.

He will fight for EBU-EU title in early March probably. He needs a real promoter.

I remeber that he wanted to fight with Jamie Moore last year. He really wants tough opponents, but he is only the boxer, he doesnt decide who will be his next opponent.

On the other hand he is still young fighter, however its sad that in the beggining of his career he was fighting in US on the biggest fights undercards and then his carrer slowed down.

Yeah, I just hate to see a promising fighter stall out like that. He actually ended up sitting in my section after his fight, and it looked like he had his parents there. Nice, humble kid, and he seemed to be taking his career very seriously.

So, I hope he turns it around and regains momentum.

He was suppose to fight this weekend, but that fell threw. The fight is now in Feb the 12th.

He called out Jaime Moore, but he was too ***** to fight I guess... Sucks cause he was beatable, as his last fight proved. And that would of been a great step up in class for Grzesiek to expose himself to bigger and better fights.

There is continuing talks about him fighting Damian Jonak, who is another Polish fighter with some good skills. He probably not as fluid and good as Proksa is, but he is tough tho and he can fight a bit. Id like to see a fight between these 2 actually, cause it would kinda weed out who we should be watching out to have a bigger career, and who we shouldn't.

I sick of all these bums these guys are fighting. Its just bum after bum after bum. Jonak has such good potential man, this guy is 24-0 with 17 KOs, and hes got a fight lined up vs. a ****in bum who is 9-26.

That is a tomato can material. This kind of caliber of opponent isn't even a confidence booster, let alone a boost in ranking. Jonak should be moving up to fight 1 MAYBE 2 more journeymen, than a division gatekeeper and than try to bust out with a top 30 or so guy. Im tired of these bums, BKP is turning into such garbage promotions. They are worse than the Polish FA : |

They did a great job with Wlodarczyk tho. He stepped up the competition in his 11th fight when he beat a undefeated Vincenzo Rossitto. And then later on he had some good fights with good contenders. But now they are doing the same **** and just feeding him bums like Gabor Halasz. ****s sakes, i wanna see him fight someone like Hide, Ding, or Braithwaite, somone who is at least semi contender level, and not these bums.

This is gonna happen to Proksa too if he dont find a good promoter, matchmaker and manager or somthin...cause if he don't, its gonna be a sad story just like Wilczewski and Fonfara, Knocked the **** out.

Andy , Jonak is no longer bkp fighter , grajevski took over him , He'l fight on universm event for wba intercontinental in few months ,but he doesnt really impress me at all and should have lost his fight on adamek-golota undercard with that 1 handed warrior(forgot his name).
