I mean I have seen a lot lesser fighters fighting in a lot more less meaningfull fights than Haye fighting on HBO and Haye hasn't fought once.
    Why?

Haye hasnt exactly had 10000 fights. He only made a name for himself when he beat Mormeck, and then he only became popular when he beat Mac, and then he only had 1 fight since then and it was on UK time if I remember well..

yeah it was a bad undercard. When was the last time Haye fought on an undercard, or fought in the USA? He's not exactly worthwhile for HBO to travel across the atlantic unless he's fighting a big fight...like Klitschko.

The days of having a Haye-quality fighter on an undercard are pretty much gone, the John-Juarez fight notwithstanding.

Still they went to Puerto Rico for Lopez vs Penalosa.
Still they went to Germany for Povetkin vs Chambers(yes, your reading is good).
A BAD slot he should have got.
