Why has Kevin Mitchel been out of the ring so long?

Thanks for the update and I really, really hope that he sticks to it, I think he's a great fighter and I like his attitude when he is switched on to his boxing - but trouble is he just doesn't fight often enough, and seems to act in between fights as though his time and money are limitless. If he's serious this time then I really hope he sticks at it, because the fact is that he is not getting any younger, now, and the money is not an infinite resource. Currently my 'most frustrating British fighter'! Could be our best currently active fighter never to have won a world title? Have not really thought about that statement, but he must be up there, surely?

I think after all the inactivity over the last couple of years, think he realises he had to start focusing more i.e loosing out on a fight with rios after a great win over murray.. really think his in a good place now and this year could be his time...
