Why has Margarito turned into a s**t talker, since the Cotto fight?

Where did I say he's ducking him?, I'm telling you he's simply not taking the fight as soon as he should.

You don't completely dominate two divisions already if you don't fight mandatories and top ranked contenders in your division. If Margarito is doing it now then Floyd did it LONG ago and his reign at Welterweight was clearly to get some major fights and retire as already planned.

I'm not saying his recent opponents are the division's worse, all I'm asking is why he hasn't attempted to avenge not even ONE out of 5 losses his retire career with three fighters being active and two asking for it when it's supposed to be the other around.

That is the political side of the **** and not the reality of the ****, he got the call because of the money the two could make thats why nothing more.

Williams has to sit on the back burner becuase he was dominated by a man that Cotto destroyed in five rounds, the same Cotto that was forced to take two knees and call it a night with Margarito, sure since then he came back to knock out Quintana but honestly people remember that lack luster performance more so than they do the knock out.
Williams had an opportunity to get it right the first time and he failed and at the same time that costed him, people lost interest in him while what Tony has done during that time, people have gained interest in watching Tony.

what do you all say about the game? big risk low reward, well the reward in fighting Williams right now is ****ing LOW, nobody knows who he is other than hardcore fight fans, you cant say that about Tony after his fight with Cotto, so why would Tony risk unifying against this guy when the general public doesnt know who he is yet?

The man (Williams) needs to take a few fights and re invent himself and let the people know who he is and if he does this right then the public will want to see a match, and what I mean by that is the public will pay big money for it.

So what would you rather do? take kibbles and bits for your rematch with Williams and chase your legacy? or wait a little let the fight Sizzle allow Williams to re establish himself and then chase your legacy followed up with a hefty purse along with it and perhaps a steak dinner :think

Williams he is probably fighting next year, dont see the Santos fight happening soon or ever considering the different divisions and the age of Santos.2 are retired and do you really Rodney Jones who beat a 18 year old kid could beat that beast now?

That loss to Jones was 12 years ago, Margarito was only 18 then. I seriously doubt Margarito was ducking Jones. By the time Margarito was a factor in the Welterweight Division Jones moved up to 154. Goosen says he's offering Margarito 4 million, but we the fans don't know how true this is or not. Of course Goosen's going to try to make himself and his fighter look good by having them call out Margarito offering him 4 million when in reality we really don't know if that's the case. All we can do is assume.

But yet you disrespect Baldomir for doing the same thing and winning the undisputed WW title:-(

more silly opinions in the second paragraph. Baldo isnt ****? well you gave marg credit for working hard but not Baldo:think And pbf at the time beat the last 2 undisputed champs of the division to make himself the champ of the division below DLH. Even then he still had to go to 54 to fight DLH.

When marg becomes CHAMP of the division then we can criticise DLH for not fighting him because it will be the same situation as to the one with PBF

Wait for Williams to establish his self?, Margarito only established his self ONE fight ago, it's not like he has accomplished a lot and is on top of the P4P rankings, not even close to ask Williams to wait. What about the reward/risk game with Mayweather at a time when Margarito didn't have a SINGLE win worth mentioning?, he's called a ducker, but Margarito doing the same is "smart" business decisions?

Williams destroying Quintana in a rematch brings back the interest and I know for sure that many want this fight more than anything since it's the best fight to make at Welterweight. Also, the reward isn't low here, will a fight will Clottey offer him the career highest $3 million pay-day?, if it will or more then sure, we'll pass on this as it's a true smart business decision.

Different divisions?, didn't Margarito openly state he is willing to move up to fight DLH?, the weight difference isn't an issue here and already planned if a DLH fight happens.

You never know if he could beat the most feared beast on the planet now, but he holds a loss to him and he was active recently, only a rematch would have decided and given us an answer.

Just becuase he established himself TO does not mean it just happened. You forget, the rest of the boxing world rarely thinks the way Mayweather fans do.

Anyway, Margarito paid his dues. Williams barely has begun.
