Cotto just got Ko'd by a guy Paul beat and Paul Ko'd in 1 rd a guy that he lost to. Yet cotto is ahead of him clottey also?:nut

    Why is berto so high?

No problem if you want to make up your own rankings to suit your argument by all means do so. I didnt know you could be champ of a division when you lost to a guy who is considered #2 in that division

Like it's been said already he can talk smack all he wants. He's faced the best Welterweights out there. Something I can't say about Floyd.

Cotto was higher than Paul at the time because Paul had be Owned by a guy that Cotto dominated and knocked out in five rounds, or did you forget about that?

Berto was a sight bit higher than Paul because like I said Pauls loss stands out more than his rematch win, he was owned by a gatekeeper.

well here is a truth.. :deal ( Arum was still Floyds promoter for two fights when this offer was made.)

    From MB 2005

"Arum and Diaz say that the 'Pretty Boy' was offered in the neighborhood of $7 million to face Margarito. In what could best be described as a 'business move', the same guy who brazenly challenged the bigger Winky Wright decided to bypass Margarito, to collect nearly $4 million to spar with Sharmba Mitchell.

"Flat turned him down like you can not believe," Arum said of Mayweather when he was offered a chance at the WBO title. "Any time we raised his name, Mayweather went crazy."

Could it be that Mayweather will never get in the ring with him?

"I don't know, you never say never," said Arum last week in Los Angeles, where he was in town for Klitschko's open workout with the media. "Floyd is a very proud guy. The more people talk about all these guys ducking Margarito, of anybody, Floyd is the one who'll step up and say,'I'll face him'. He's a ballsy guy but his people have told him that Margarito is the most dangerous guy for him out there." "

you keep avoiding my question How can Bob Arum gaurantee Floyd 10 Million dollars to fight Ricky Hatton when Bob did not ever promote Hatton?
Come on now your using this **** in your arguement in favor of Floyd you have some explaining to do? or just admit that Floyd did everything in his power to ensure that he did not have to fight Margarito.

Wake up and stop whinning. The guy is seeking the biggest money fight in his boxing career so he needs to make noise to get noticed. Pavlik is trash talking Calzaghe too . . . same with Williams **** talking his targeted opponents . . . so why turn your ire only on Margarito.

Yeah the guy used to be classy and humble . . . result? Haters and naysayers are having a field day insulting him. :deal

How can Arum say this then say this?

Arum said while Mayweather would have taken the $8 million to fight Margarito, he asked for a $10 million guarantee to fight opponents such as Miguel Cotto and Ricky Hatton, when Arum was only willing to guarantee $7 million. Arum said Mayweather also asked for $20 million to fight De La Hoya, a fight Arum said he wasn't interested in participating in

And his reason for this was:

"That's not in the cards," Arum said. "He wants $20 million for the De La Hoya fight? It's not there. Sometimes, my man, you gotta know when to hold 'em and when to fold 'em. We'll talk about things down the road."

He said its not in the cards because this:

"I don't want to, because if I did that fight, I would be working for such a small percentage, it's not worth it," he said.

a cut off the 2.4 mil PPV was not enough for HIM not the fighters but soemone who is not fighting.:nut

Also i got something else on that winky fight a quote from Gary SHaw winky's promoter:

"I walked in, I told him: "I believe we have a deal,' " Shaw said. "And Bob said, "so it's a deal - 55-45 (money split)'.

"I said, "Bob, that was never, ever discussed, no deal' and that was that."
The day before, Shaw said he and Arum had agreed to a 50-50 purse split as well as other requests from Mayweather's camp.

Shaw on why the deal fell through:

"I think it's Arum," Shaw said. "When Floyd normally calls someone out, he's serious about fighting them."

From another promoter Gary Shaw on his experience dealing with Arum..even Shaw said it wasnt Floyd but Arum who ****ed everything up

SO who exactly is bullshitting here? Arum is saying diferent things

I dont know if you know this but its the same way with the Marg and cotto situation because the promoter pays the fighter. So if he was going to give him 8 for a not so popular MArg then He could have given Floyd an extra 2 mil for cotto and Hatton who are more popular than Marg. Makes sense. Well of course it does because Floyd made way more than that Vs Hatton didnt he.

And how is it floyd is pricing himself out for a fight he made more on when it did happen. These are quotes from Arum's mouth. The only reason Arum didnt want the fights is obviously because he is greedy. An extra 2 mil? come on

He made it impossible for Arum to put together a fight with Margarito by insisting a 10 Million dollar payday with Ricky Hatton knowing Hattons people had said up to that point that Ricky was not ready for Mayweather in other words Floyd knew what he was doing, he didnt want to fight Tony, and he knew he could blow **** out of his ****ing ass to make sure that it never happend.

That is probably why you criticize him but that's not the consenus. People say the story is floyd got offered 8 mil and flat out turned it down. well as you can see that wasnt the case as the article shows. :good Even the one you posted show Arum offered 7 mil not 8. But then another one says Arum offered 8. Arum switches things up alot as you can see. No wonder DLH and Floyd left him.

What he says is true though, Floyd ducks Margarito to fight some ****ing jokers that Tony would rip apart, that is a fact, if Floyd was about legacy he would fight Margarito right now, but he is not, he is about making Money which is why again he priced himself out of the DLH rematch he just wants money, he is not a fighter he is a business man who uses boxing gloves to play patty cakes in the ring with guys who are willing to play along.
