Why has Mexican Boxing Declined?

    For the last fifty years they've usually had two fighters in the top ten of the decade. Last time, they had four. It was just a golden age and now things are settling back down to normal, unless you count all the Mexican-American fighters too. Plus, like other posters have said Mexicans don't do the amateur circuit like Cubans and Eastern Europeans. They get their experience through early professional fights against journeymen and club fighters. We're probably due for another good Mexican fighter to rise out of the ranks and join Alvarez, Estrada, Santa Cruz, Mares, Salido, Soto, etc. on the world stage.
