Why has there not been another Hagler/Hearns round one in 24 years?

    Not quite the same, but Corrales-Castillo 10(or 11?). Pure sickness.

    Vazques Marquez trilogy has a few rounds that have similarity's with Hagler Hearns

    I was talking about as a whole fight, not just one round. Hagler-Hearns round 1 is high up there on the all-time great rounds IMO.

    Hagler vs. Hearns was incredible. What those two guys did was salvaged boxing in 1985, which then led us into the great Tyson era. I honestly think there will never be a first round like that again. That fight was not going to go more than 3 rounds. I am surprised it went 3 rounds the way those two guys were landing in round one.
