If this blood test is for real why hasn't Gbp implemented the test for all there fighters over the last twelve months. Maybe they were scared ! Or maybe they are deflecting the shadow off Bhop And Balco shane both partners in the GBP empire.

It's a sham. Pretty Boy never wanted the fight. They will never request their fighters to adhere to that type of testing see Mosley-Judah. They were trying to single out one fighter and coerce him to sign the contract through media pressure.

Do you see them making a petition to the NSAC?

Pretty Boy really just wanted to fight Matthew Hatton.

MAYWEATHER EYES HATTON, SALITA OR QUINTANA IN THE UK INSTEAD OF PACQUIAO?

Are all you *******s this simple? Um this type of testing is expensive? If you are going to put $20-40 million on the line you don't see why?

Why are doctors licensed? Why do people get college degrees? Why are drivers insured? Why are banks insured? Why are contracts written? I will tell you why, because when people put their money and lives on the line they want guarantees that there is some level of professionalism. The more on the line, the more guarantees. Point blank.

This is probably the most lucrative fight in HISTORY. If you don't understand why this is different then you don't understand life.

NSAC and boxing promoters in general probably could not afford this level of testing for all fights. It would destroy the NSAC's cost structure or cripple lower level match making.

To act ignorant to to these facts is well... ignorant.

    Professionalism.

"Now that I've learned more about this, boxing now will have an outspoken advocate for blood testing in the sport," Schaefer said. "I plan to ask Nevada to have Travis Tygart explain why blood tests are necessary. This is not about hitting a baseball, throwing a football or hitting a puck. This is a sport that's mano-a-mano, with guys hitting each other's heads. It's important that the strongest testing possible is in place."

GL: As of now have any petitions been filed?

    KK: "No."

The current drug testing protocol for boxing is inadequate and out dated. Changes have to be made so why not start with the the biggest fight in years where fighters have more at stake than they ever had.

Holy ****! You actually believe the **** you wrote? When has PROFESSIONALISM ever been attached to Junior's, his Daddy's and his Uncle's name? They're the ONES that demanded it, not the NSAC.

If they were serious about drug testing for an even playing field for all the fighters, then they should've declined the fight and FILED A ****ING PETITION first and not dragged PAC'S name in the dirt to support their noble cause. Buncha of ****ing hypocrites!!

It's not too late, FILE A ****ING PETITION!!!

I agree. But request for policy changes need to be presented to the proper channels and approved. All of this doesn't happen in a snap of a finger. It takes time. It's not logical to demand it at such a pivotal time.

    You have a *******. Boxon
    A known Floyd hater. Bladerunner
and a total moron. Beez whatever, posting on one of the stupidest thread today and thinking that their are making sense to rational people.

You cant really have 2,000 dollars worth of testing going on for a 1000 dollar card.

Just as in amatuer boxing the lower levels arent as important to test.

GBP is a PROMOTIONAL Company and will do what is in the best interest of each fighter on a one on one bases. Meaning If you have a fighter that has been dirty in the past, you fight for them not to be tested. If you have a fighter that is about to fight a guy that you think may be dirty then you fight for the test. I dont understand why so many of you sock puppets think this is somehow a moral stance by a bunch of ****ing dirty ass do anything or say anything lawyers that are only looking to line thier pockets.:patsch

HEADLINES ABOUT PACQUIAO REFUSING TO TAKE A BLOOD TEST ARE MISLEADING!!
2:15 AM | Posted by Oliver Suarez | Edit Post

    By Oliver Suarez

In an article by Steve Kim for MaxBoxing, Bob Arum said "We’re willing to do all kinds of urine analysis. We’re willing to do blood testing before the last press conference and after the fight."

Pacquiao and his team are open to taking a blood test but not right before the fight. So the headlines about Pacquiao refusing to take a blood test are misleading.

Would the result of the blood test be significantly different if Pacquiao takes the test right after the fight? Most banned substances will still be detected within that time span.

Some have pointed out that it would be irrelevant if Pacquiao takes the test after the fight since he would still get the purse and be given credit for a victory if he defeats Mayweather.

    Is that totally true?

Yes, he would still get the purse but be fined a large amount of money and suspended. As far as the victory, it would be tainted and certainly would not be viewed as a valid victory by most fans and analysts.

If Pacquiao is truly using steroids, his team would not be open to any type of blood testing considering all the possible consequences.

You think Tiger’s fall from grace was bad; wait what happens if Pacquiao is found to be using steroids.

Pacquiao might not lose as much financially but would lose much more in terms of public support. He arguably has the most passionate and loyal fans. Also, he’s not only looked upon as an athlete but a symbol of inspiration and pride by his countrymen.

Suddenly his political ambition goes down the drain since his credibility to his potential constituents will be tarnished. In addition, he would be the target of harsh criticisms from his fans that supported him with unrivaled passion throughout his career.

I doubt Pacquiao will risk all he has achieved by using steroids. This steroid issue is all about envy and the fact that many find it difficult to comprehend that Pacquiao keeps on surpassing all the expectations bestowed upon him.

Can it be that Floyd Jr. can’t accept the fact that a fighter whom he views as inferior has surpassed him in terms of accomplishments and achieved the greatness that he expected from himself?

This is nothing but a well-crafted public relations move to taint Pacquiao’s achievements and move the public sentiments towards Floyd Jr.

and it's malicious demanding it at this stage considering all the bitching and maligning mayweather sr, jr, oscar had been saying beforehand!

the motive is not to clean up the sport but to duck pacman and malign his name while they're at it! clever move!
