Peterson was confirmed to have tested for A side meff. Thats not even taking into account all of the other hilarious circumstances, hatman, the deducting of points that at the time I agreed with, but combined with everything else just looks like a huge slice of home-cooked pie. So why hasn't a fight in which the winning fighter officially tested positive for banned substances and was stripped by one of the sanctioning bodies, been rulled an NC?
What's right is right (should be a NC) but what's legal is legal (Peterson passed whatever testing was used for the fight). Unfortunately, the two are not the same in this case.
Becuz the people that run boxing are old and dumb... They stick with "tradition" despite how stupid and unjust "tradition" has proven to be on many occasions
Khan 28-2 (Garcia, Prescott) It's not even an NC, it's a UD win to Khan in my view. This is a serious case of '**** the judges'.
Peterson already been cleared of his name. Wtf you want from the guy, he got suspended for a year, lost a huge payday when he was the man of the division, and got robbed of his WBA belt. Khan had the chance to redeem himself, but he got utterly embarrassed and TKO'd on his next fight.
I don't think the DC Commission should necessarily make the fight a NC based simply on the word of Peterson, who passed the DC Commission test and didn't actually flunk a test until several months later. For sure it's a referendum on the tests the DC Commission administer, but making the fight a NC without tangible proof is a slippery slope. The referee is what I am still angry about from that fight, not the judging, as it was indeed a very close fight, and it was those bogus point deductions that swung the outcome.
The whole fight was a farce... Judging was possibly tampered with Hatman Ref Drugs Hometown Can't be called a NC as nothing to show anything prohibited/illegal had occured. Sucks I can't rewatch a great fight because the refs fumbling and terrible ring generalship was so bad/annoying/too involved makes it unwatchable.
