cotto wants the fight with margo to be brought forward so he can fight oscar in september. thats what i've heard.
Very good point. Margo has the tools and attitude to beat Cotto. Margo won't be facing a 6 foot tall, left handed boxer-puncher like Williams was. As Joe Frazier used to say: "my opponent has 2 hands just like me, and I respect his ability to win." Cotta better keep his head screwed on right when getting ready for Margo.
Arum and Cotto haven't finalized terms yet. But, according to Arum's statement after his meeting with Cotto last week it is pretty minor and a press tour is already scheduled to start on May 19th. It'll happen. From *********** last week
It to be signed this week according to the Cotto camp. I don't know if it was scheduled for it to be post Oscar/Forbes to negotioate more money. But this week it should be in concrete.
