people truly dont understand the type of money MGM or any of the other big casinos put up for "site fee" for these fights, it is an investment for them because of the revenue for all of their other activities that a big fight generates, Headlining in Vegas is what all the big acts weather its Floyd or Selene Dion. boxing, singing, magic etc. It is the big time it

Yeah, turn out would be massive. The money would be the equivalent of having the New York Giants play the New York Jets with admission of a quarter, sure everyone and their momma would show up but you wouldn't make anywhere near the amount of money they do now.

Exactly. The median income in that shithole is what? Like $5,800/yr? How big of a stadium would they have to fill to see anywhere near the live gate and concessions money that they can easily get even in a small venue over here?

This is the problem today: you talk about some huge fights and everybody just wants to talk about the money.

Clearly a fear of New Zealand level competition.

Thats what SRL and Tyson said was wrong today. In the old day people fought for pride bragging rights and the chance to be great. CHampions fight champions.

haha, yeah pride. No money was important then too. It just made more sense to travel to fight. Its like performing on the stage, you can't expect anywhere outside of broadway and vegas willing to see the same show over and over(and that is because of tourism).

Floyd does not make ballsy decisions, he makes business decisions. He never really dares to be great, but still proves to be the best.
