When cotto was in his prime,Mayweather wanted nothing to do with him.Now he's on 24/7 talking about "I'ma chop his ass up".Of course he will! Now!Where was floyd when cotto was kncking out zab judah and beating Shane Mosley? He was "retired"?Paul Williams moved up in weight, then Williams was out of the picture,Coto lost to Margarito, then Cotto was out of the picture, then Margarito was out of the picture after losing to Shane Mosley. Then Poof!Like magic!!Floyd came out of retirement!Wow!And now he fights cotto when he is 4 years past his prime and not getting enough criticism for it.

Cotto never wanted any part of Mayweather in the past. He admitted it. When Mayweather tried to fight him, his camp said that he was too green. And mayweather is 4 yrs older than Cotto, so If anything, Cotto should be getting **** for dragging up an old Mayweather.

Cause Cotto is a far more dangerous fight than picking on the feather fisted green 140 pound Bradley, so Mayweather main ammunition for criticism, his distractors simply cannot use in this case without looking like a hypocrite

First, I'm a Mayweather fan. This is the same BS that PEDcquiao and Arum pull. Cotto is a popular name, but even in his prime Cotto was never that good. His biggest win? Old Mosley. This is about making the biggest money fight outside of Pedcquiao v Mayweather.

Because Cotto(e) is doing the same ****. Do I need to show the quote of where Cotto(e) admitted he wanted nothing to do with Mayweather and didn't ever push for the fight?

Simple. People understand that the only reason why this fight is happening is because Cotto is no longer a Top Rank fighter.

People also remember how Mayweather called out Cotto when they were both still fighting at 140 and how Miguel's camp turned them down stating that he's not ready for Mayweather.

Last but not least, people also understand that although Cotto has gotten older, so has Mayweather.

Because I guess people realize that both fighters are not in their prime anymore. I'm not saying they are shot or anything, but they are not at their peak anymore.

Mosley turned him down in 1999 and in 2006.
Cotto turned him down in 2005.
Hatton turned him down in 2005.
Tszyu turned him down in 2005.

With the exception of Paul Williams, every possible fight that Floyd could have made that he didn't make was a direct result of Bob Arum.
