I'm not saying he didn't duck him. My points are to do with why he ducked him and if it was the same on both sides. You can't say it's all one way when Witter was offered his biggest payday and turned it down.

And factual proof is not clutching at straws, either.

 

The haters seem to be willing to spend hours writing essays about how much they hate Hatton.

Never have I seen a fighter hated so much for no good reason. :verysad It's just sad.


If you don't like him, why are you all so obsessed with him? Why not just ignore him, and all the threads about him?


I have a real dislike for Judah, but I have never felt the need to write a 1000 word thesis about why I dislike him and why I think everyone else should dislike him. I think that would be just pathetic, and I find that level of obsession with another man a little creepy. :yep

Jack makes a good point - Witter was offered his biggest payday and turned it down. No bull**** - he and his team never denied that the offer was made.

If it was bull****, they would have been straight in the press as usual.

Yeah I agree with all of the above - but I have been labelled a 'hater' for cristizing Hatton. But it is only because I can see what they cant see and this thread starter can see it to. The latest money spinner for the Hattons is AT HOME WITH THE HATTONS tv show - another commercial success for them where they are guarentee to earn £1m without a punch being thrown but they probaly will say the main motivation for them doing it is because "they want to show people what they really like" everything with Hatton is a PR spin. everything is cynically thought out - from what image and impression and statements he makes - to his latest excuse. he is a greedy ****er - who keeps fighting on to be even more well off so he never has to be down to his last £10,000,000.
His son never will have to work - he goes on holidays ten times a year - he will retire at 32 years old - but its never been about the money - its all to do with what a nice fellow and sportsman ricky hatton is. I love my fans so i will come back to fight in Manchester to them as a gift and make sure they get charged £15 just to watch it on TV. Hatton is all about - wealth - maxium reward - making sure his family are more and more well off - and pretending to love the fans. Warren is just as bad Warren and Hatton during that WBU reign took the British public for a long ride and milked every last penny they could out of them

Its not about being jealous of Hatton for his success.

Its about disliking Hatton because of the con job he has done on the public

 

So? It was still the best offer Witter had ever recieved. Whether it was a unjust offer is besides the point. Look at it from Witter's perspective. He wanted the fight for years and when it gets offered to him, with the more money than he'd ever made, he rejected it.

 

We just have different opinions on it that's all, as we discussed the other night Witter would probably have received about 5% of the money - I find that derisory.
