There's no need to fly of the handle here:p

I'am only trying to get to the bottom of this puzzle thats all, you are aware that Hatton was not a genuine LWW don't you, LWW was the safest place too hide as all the bad *******s were at L/Weight & WW & last but not least we had the best LWW & WBC beltholder living just up the road & he was called Jr witter who would have emptied his sack up Fatboys arse if Hatton's dad was'nt so terrified that his pension fund for a son ever got in the ring with him it would be the end of the gravy train.

How could Hatton possible be one of the best LWW? Great champion LWW don't have **** smashed out of them or get put over another fighters knee & have their bum's smacked do they. Hatton against Floyd was an embarrasing schooling & Floyd's a jumbed up super/featherweight & Pacman a super/flyweight & he ****in mullered Hatton.

I went to both Mayweather & Pacman fights & i'd like too thank one of the greatest LWW of all time for making me a pile of $$$$$$$$:p

Hatton was a well managed titlist at best who had one good night against a veteren & the rest is all hype & squeezing every £££££ out of you lot. Man of the people is he:huh then why is he charging fans £50.00 a signiture if yer want a glove signed eh (he's worth £30Million) but i expect you get your's free seeing you buy all his drinks for him & laugh at his same old jokes just too keep his confidence up.

Where did you watch the Pacman fight, I was sat Block M13, RowQ, seat 1, Hatton went down right in front of me, i could smell his breath, i fled with the rest of the howling laughing stampeading winners all the way to the MGM bookies, I'am on Sky TV, after round 7 in the walker fight the camera's panned out into the bars up stairs, i'am the one pissed up in a black top waving my dentures about.

Anyway, so there you are, if hatton had beaten witter then fair enough, but he's been exposed for what he is, a good all round fighter on the WBU/WBF/WWF & last but not least the IBO:hey

    Calzaghe's a unified champ, that settles it:smoke

No, no I did´nt forget Buchanan, Stracy or Watt. Lennox Lewis, Conteh and Hamed were great fighters. But having seen all of them in action - I still rate Hatton and Calzaghe above the lot.

    Great point.

Marquez came from that era, and he has fought Norwood, Gainer, Barrera, Pacquiao (twice), Mayweather, Diaz, and Casamayor...

Barrera came from that era, and he has fought Morales (three times), Pacquiao (twice), Marquez, McKinney, Junior Jones (twice), Ayala, Peden, Juarez (twice)...

Morales came from that era, and he has fought Barrera (three times), Pacquiao (three times), Injin Chi, Zaragoza, Raheem, Junior Jones, Hernandez...

And from that list, Marquez fought Norwood, Morales fought Junior Jones...

The fact is that there were many more fighters to be fought for Hamed in his division and the surrounding divisions, but he spent 95-00 fighting a mixture of merely decent challengers, past-prime former champs and complete bums. He then got beaten by the only elite level fighter he ever faced, and retired because he (unlike you guys) realized his lack of boxing fundamentals (eg jab, defence etc) meant he could never beat someone like Barrera.

And so now, Hamed does not deserve to be ranked alongside the resumes and careers of his contemporaries Barrera, Marquez and Morales, nor does he deserve to be ranked alongside British fighters who had long and successful careers fighting the very best like Buchanan and Lewis.

If you have seen Ken Buchanan, John Conteh and Ricky Hatton fight, and you reckon Hatton was the best of the three, I feel very very sorry for you. :-(
