Countdowns are usally for WCB but then again who knows some times they do them for PPVs as well... but I think the reason we havent seen many is cus there havent been any real fights in a while.

Yeah, i miss those shows as well. Now they have 24/7 for most big fights, so HBO probably thinks that's enough coverage I'm guessing.

24/7 sucks compared to countdowns, in the beginning 24/7 was good but now its just boring!

Because they are cheap and have reduced their budget(s) but they have no problem spending 1.25 million on a Berto fight on the undercard.:rofl:patsch

Showtime has picked up a lot of ground on HBO in the last 1.5 years.

Last one was Pac-Clottey and they are doing one for Bradley-Alexander I believe.

I've read they are doing one for Bradley-Alexander.

The last one I remember was Cotto-Margo.

24/7 is just a longer countdown show. They're the same thing.

i dont know man i just like countdowns better.

take hopkins vs winky countdown for example, that was one of the best countdown episodes ever, now would a winky vs bhop 24/7 be as good?

Sometimes it gets a bit tedious when they drag it out over 4 episodes. Especially if the fighters aren't engaging.

  15. They filmed one for Williams/Pavlik, but then Pavlik got KOed by the bottle and pulled out.
