Why have I heard people call Andre Ward arrogant?

I wish Pac would keep his religious views to himself as well. I also wish Pac would stop wearing a shirt with his own name on it. But, like I said, I like Ward as a fighter, I think he's very good, just knock it off with God stuff.

 

I try to ignore the YouTube comments section. The reason for a lot of people is far more obvious there. It's a racist shithole, plain and simple. Yahoo (columns/articles) is pretty bad too. Is that where these people here are migrating from? :think

 

Well I'm white and as I stated before Ward never came across as arrogant to me, to be honest I'm not really bothered what someone is like outside of the ring, it is boxing after all. I think Floyd gets **** because he is the best not just because he is black. It comes down to the image you wish to cultivate, Floyd has played to a certain image his whole career which has benefited him because his fans will watch him to win and there will be people who watch him to lose, Floyd wins because he is PPV king.

I'm a fan of Calzaghe, and I often praise Ward on these boards for being an awesome fighter, and beating the best in his division.

Ward always comes across as a very likable guy. He doesn't trash talk, or disrespect other fighters, and he's gracious in victory. My only issue is the headbutts from the Kessler fight, which cannot be condoned or forgotten.

As for those saying it's a race issue, he's half black..... and half white, I can't believe such idiocy still exists in 2012 atsch

dont worry, plenty people say **** about froch, he is a loud mouth. and by the way, the only reason ward has a better resumay than bute is because of the s6, take that away and u have nothing, so trashing a guy because he was not invited and have pre fixed fights (contracts) like in the s6 is crap. ward is not the SOG (son of god) he is SODD (son of donald duck) wishes to keep his belt a litte longer, ***** ass saying the s6 winner needs to face bute to unify and then contraDICKS himself...pffff. *****.

 

i use to train at kings gym and he is as humble as they come. extremely friendly, helpful, and easy going.

Bute could have joined the Super 6, but he went with HBO instead. I dont hate Bute, and I think him vs. Ward is a good tough fight. But for him to be treated this way. as a unified champ in the division and after completely outclassing,Abraham, Kessler, and Froch (all of whom were picked to beat him at the beginning of the S6) and also beating Bika and Green, is insane.

He is as humble as they come, and it's always the Euro and American Whites (the racist ones, not everyone) that is hating on him the most, and were praying for his downfall. There is a half black American as the top man at 168.

It's just not possible for any human being in the world not to understand that saying you're a Son of God means you acknowledge Him as father to all men. People who say they're somehow taking it as Ward being the new Messiah are trolling, it's just impossible to believe otherwise.
