Why have Sky showed no interest in Froch ?

    Probably going over old ground here,but its amazing that and i don't mean 2 be 2 harsh but lesser fighters like Munroe and Booth can get their world title fights on sky in front of a very big audience,much bigger than primetime anyway, and Froch who in my opinion is Britain's number 1 fighter at the moment based on achievements and the calibre of opponent he has faced is pissin into the wind on an awful channel if im honest. Can u name a British fighter who has beaten boxers the quality of Pascal,Taylor and Dirrell 1 after the other,very close to beating Kessler and Abraham up next. Sky have a free slot on november 27th at present but i wouldn't hold my breath.

    It has to be laid directly at the feet of Hennessey.

    The Pascal fight was on ITV live.

    the Taylor fight was on ITV 24 hour delay; Sky could have picked it up.

    Dirrell - Primetime

    Kessler - Primetime

    Surely to christ Froch would have made more money being on Sky than he would have with Primetime.

    To be honest i think Froch and Hennessy got a bit to big for their booths when the eliminator with Inkin was announced shortly after he beat Reid. Up to that point Froch was a regular on sky but with the WBC eliminator against Inkin announced,Hennessy must of made crazy demands to sky and i don't think he or Froch were in a position to do so because Froch had not beating anybody up to that point. They should of stayed put,with the higher profile fights the money would of followed and the bigger fights would of been given constant build up and exposure on sky sports news.

    I think there's something very weird about it. It might be Hennessey, it might be Sky, but most likely there's a little of both.

    Exactly, I can't imagine he'd have made much from the web stream from that fight either. He should have 'took the hit' and let the Taylor fight be on ITV1 or Sky for pittance, and use the exposure gained from that which would have allowed him to fight on Box office for if not the Dirrell fight, then certainly the Kessler fight.

    When Warren had the likes of Lockett, Jennings and Skelton in world title fights abroad-he got them live on Setanta. When Maloney had Munroe in a world title fight in Japan-he got him live on sky. Why the **** couldn't Hennessy do that?:patsch

    It's a real shame, as Froch could have been a huge star had he been promoted properly, yet he is still a nobody, and will continue to be while he fights in front of a few thousand die-hards on some obscure PPV channel. While some of the blame may lie with ITV and Sky not being willing to cough up much for the fights, surely most of it is down to his inept promoter.

    However, on a potentially brighter note-there is no live card on sky on the 27th November, so there is still a chance they could show Froch v Abraham.

    Makes perfect business sense for them to show it,Froch if he wins is guaranteed another fight against another world class opponent, be it ward,abraham again or to lesser extent i suppose green or johnson.

    I'm not the biggest froch fan mainly due to his attitude towards calzaghe a few years ago.
    But you have to respect his opponents from pascal onwards,in which nearly all have been exciting fights

    if he'd had the right exposure he would be a massive star now,which is a shame because how many wars has he got left in him?

    sky sports show berto fights , paul williams etc .. why the **** would they ignore Froch??.

    there's a big problem somewhere but mick hennesey pretends not to know.

    If Henney allowed skysports to air the froch v taylor for free then things would had been different !!
    I cant believe that fight wasn't live on TV..what a fuk up by that idiot Mick!!
    Froch lost so much from the lack of exposure..
