And if looked and had Leo Dicapprios talent id be banging supermodels. My point is thats not the case and i have to accept reality. Easter is a good fighter who will be champion again but there are levels to this my friend.

Why haven't we seen another Ali or Tyson or RJJ?

When you have a fighter with such tremendous natural gifts it's not the norm but something quite unique.

Hearns' was a freak of nature. While we've seen other tall rangy boxers come and go none of them had his speed, jab and power. Having someone like Steward may have had a lot to do with it. Maybe McCellan could of been the new Hearns but he simply didn't have the temperament and mindset of a great fighter even if he had the natural talent.

It is true. We don't see the greats like Hearns or Duran or Leonard.. They were all unique.

When you think about Duran you think about Panama, same as Hearns you think about Detroit. Although Leonard, I don't think as much about Palmer Park.. Marvin you do think about Brockton.

The irony of that fight. One of Tommy most brilliant and dumbest fights. Tommy was great enough where even a mistake in a fight turned out a great fight for him historically, but it did hurt his legacy a bit.

Beanpole boxerswith hearns power are v rare. Even in Tommy’s era guys came along to try to emulate him and failed. Milton mcrory, hillmer kenty etc etc none came close.
He was lethal at 147. Less so at higher weights. Also funnily enough hearns was not a puncher asan amateur at all. He developed/learned his power as a pro.

Combination speed no-one was faster than Leonard just re-watch the first fight with Hearns.

Ps never seen a better fight than this.

Usually skinny guys can bang if they have good technique. Steward made sure hearns fully extended his punches.

Hearns was very special in a special period of time. Doubt we see another like him again. Let's not forget the Kronk and Manny that molded him.
You won't find that again either

Duran's Dad is Panamanian, and his mother is Mexican.

    Duran is actually Panamanian-Mexican.
    or Mexican-Panamanian.

    Either way, he's half Mexican.
