David Haye, much like Wlad, is a very gifted athlete but not a natural fighter. Wlad smoothed out his deficits by developing over many fights and learning from some setbacks. Haye is mentally too much of a diva to go down that humble road. He has serious entitlement issues and against bigger, stronger fighters who can erase his speed advantage with ring generalship like Wlad or great reflexes and an awkward style like Vitali, his natural talent isn't enough. With a different mentality and 10 - 15 more fights under his belt by now, Haye might be a formidable opponent for the Klitschkos. But he still thinks he brings excitement to the division when he showed mediocre performances against Valuev, Audley and Wlad. Being unrealistic about oneself isn't a good idea against Vitali. Everybody who underestimated Vitali and called him stiff or slow was in for a rude awakening in the ring. You can never count a talented fighter out, but I just don't see Haye suddenly quantum leaping to a higher level and beating Vitali convincingly.
Haye won't win because he's limited. He is fast, packs a punch and can move... that's it! How the hell Haye's going to beat Vitali with his incredibly low punchoutput, while running circles on the backfoot? If he manages to stay upright, and I mean IF, he wouldn't have done enough to win on points. Not even if they would hold the fight in the middle of London with Ian John Lewis as referee and Dave Parris, Terry O'Connor and Paul Thomas as judges... Well, maybe then he will get a draw out of it :yep
Sure, but my point is, he could have done a lot to go beyond his limits. If he had the dedication Wlad had to make up for his limits, he would have done something serious with different diet, training etc. to get up his workrate. Instead he still looks like a bodybuilder and throws 15 punches per round. Those limitations however aren't unmovable.
I had a post last week where I stated my opinion on that... The way Haye 'boxes' is one of the worst ways for his physical trades. Haye should learn to box behind a high defence, using the jab and following it with a overhand right. He also has to learn how to press an opponent (that isn't a bum) and nail him when he's on the ropes. He's tall enough and has a long reach, so that would work very well for him. He would never be another Lewis or anything, but seriously, who is?! But like you said, Haye won't dedicate himself enough for that. Haye's tactics are; Talk big, just scrape by, talk big again, fight bum, talk big again, fight bum, talk even bigger, have a no show and lose, retire, talk big again.... learning how to fight effectively doesn't fit into that.
great point about inactivity - he should have fought at least 10 h/ws by now a few more 6ft5 types as warm up for klits
Haye won't win because Vitali is not getting knocked out with one punch and Haye's style doesn't allow him to build up an accumulation. Unless Vitali suddenly gets old, Haye will be in full retreat mode, as much as I'd like to see him trade. Oh yeah, and like pretty much all Klit-tards, Rushman is a prize ****.
Haye Will win. Im betting my life savings on it! How can robot Quitali handle Hayes speed and power? We seen featherfisted Adamek put him on his ass. This is such a dead cert imo, easy ****ing money.
