He is, and I can't even knock him for what he's doing cuz it works. However, I'd like to see him fight the other champs in the division, but we get, like, maybe 1 decent, meaningfull, HW fight per year.

David haye soon to be fighting at heavweight just knocked out mormeck to become the man at cruiserweight.
Alexander povetkin very talented smaller russian fighter who recently beat chris byrd and is being mached up with fellow unbeaten prospect eddie chambers.
Oblander solis very talented guy but he is fat and out of shape.
Eddie chambers very fast good boxer as mentioned beofre fighting povetkin in his next fight.
    Dennis boystov another talented guy.
    Chris arreola
Obvioulsy chageav as well unbeaten as well as the current wba champion.

I def. agree that the top guys need to fight each other. That goes without saying really, isn't that what the HW King is supposed to do?

Wlad's only real blowout was vs. a Don King Mandatory Ray Austin, who proved he didn't deserve to be there. WK seemed surprised that he KO'd him so easily.............proof that King isn't good for the division.

The WBC champ, Oleg or Samuel, can make an impact if they finally stop giving title shots away like candy.

The winner of Oleg/Peter has to fight Vitali & the winner of Virchis vs. Gomez................I think. That should clear the eventual winner for a year to unify.

Exactly, and on paper many good matches could be made right now, if the top guys fight the top guys.

Mollo vs. Golota should add another name to the list.

His fight with Peter was exciting. The problem is he has to find someone who is competitve with him and Iggy will not be. His style isn't as action packed as a tyson or holyfield because he has learned to pace himself better. His style is like a hybrid of Ali and Lewis, lots of movement utilizing the jab then he moves into the pocket firing huge power shots.

The major problem is you have guys like Makaev and The White Tyson :yep fighting optionals against Ohkella and Skelton and are injury prone. That doesn't help matters. Maskaev tuned down Wlad for a unification in Nov 06. And Chagaev pulled out of the Sultan fight with a mysterious illness which sounded like a pretense to me.

Which is why I give Sultan a capital "B" for "Balls" since he took the unification match against Wlad. He believes in himself and it's a great example to the other beltholders & promoters.

The HW-division is far better than some people say. Its correct, that these eastern Europeans are not characteristic guys or thrashtalker. They are quite polite and normal, due to they are not the bad ****** from Ghetto. So the entertainment factor in that part is lower then in the 80ies, 90ies. But the skills of this dudes are no way worse than 80ies or 90ies. Solis, Povetkin and Klitschko are the three Super Heavyweight Olympics who are on collission course within the next 2-3 years. Thats going to be fun. But I understand if Americans are not really interested.

this is a reason why any fighter under 6 ft (who are usually anyone under super middlewieght) will go into boxing.

also notice how most men in the heavywieght division are un athletic and prefer to either wrestle and use there wieght and strength instead of athletic values like speed, movment and agility...even stamina.

i also feel it doesnt help when you have boxing fans actually saying the heavywieght divisision is wide open becuase you get an influx of men who are heavy and tall enough saying to themselves..."yeah i can make it" which is great i cant knock there enthusistic approach becuase i know that ray austin is a big boxing fan and really knows his stuff, but he is now ali, jimmy ellis or

but it does make these guys who are just too old and too out of shape to pick up the gloves. you get guys like holyfield who took a huge beating by toney and got bullied by powderpuff byrd and got seriously outpointed by donald yet he comes out of retirement ,morrison who has been diagnosed with aids and retired 11 years prior comes out to make his ripple in the division, vitali threatend to come out, even tim witherspoon was almost out...actually was signed to a fight until the commision knew who he was (not knowing him being 50 odd).

also you go to remember that most fighters who were to take over when lewis retired also retired not long after. lewis retired when guys like vitali, grant, tua had started to think of retirement (maybe not vitali becuase) or already too old and had beat the sucessors.

but i feel there is real talent and usually when they blossom they rise to the top...so it's just a waiting game.

Couldnt agree more. We all have to remember, its a sport, but its ment to serve as entertainment as well
