Danny Garcia cleared out the 140 stable at Golden Boy (possibly Lamont Peterson is the last one there). I thought he was going to 147?

Why fight against Herrera at again 140 when he supposedly cleared 140 out and was ready to head north? Herrera lost to Alvarado and Mayfield so why is Danny even taking this fight?

It'd make more sense to stay at 140 if there was a purpose but for this in particular, there really isn't. Why not fight Ruslan and put up the belts on the line? Can't say Goldenboy/Top Rank beef since Ruslan isn't with Top Rank so why doesn't Danny fight Ruslan for his belt instead of Herrera?

It's a showcase fight for Danny Garcia.
    First time headlining in PR.

Probably a way to cherry pick an easier opponent/duck Ruslan (beat the guy who beat Ruslan).

This is all it is. If Prov wants a fight he will have to find one in the DEEP stable of TR:D

It sucks that he is with Bob because there are so many great fights with Golden Boy that could be made. Garcia, Matthysee, Maidana, Thurman, Broner, Berto, . . . etc. Oh, well hopefully Guys Like Mikey and Gamboa can move up faster so Bob can make some good fights again.

PS; the best fight right now given the situation is Bam Bam

Then his next opponent better be good. If he wants the Latino fans he needs to learn Spanish cuz that Philly Spanglish won't cut it

it's a stay busy fight until his next big opponent surfaces. u have to explore all options...u have to stay busy/sharp. danny is on his way up.

when floyd goes the distance with khan...it's going to make danny's win over khan look that much more impressive.

His "next big opponent"s are there, and ready in Lucas and Provo. This is some BS showcase fight so he feels warm and fuzzy about PR or something...:tired

Easy title defence then after it I hope he announces that he's moving up to 147. Talented boxer and he's proven he's the best in the 140 division so really he should of moved up already.
