*Why I dislike Joe Calzaghe (from a former fan)

You laud Hatton for the first which led into a fight against the best possible opponent in or around his weightclass at the time and criticise Calzaghe for the second, even though it led to two fights against the two best opponents in or around his weightclass at the time. That says more about your biases than anything else.

Joe went into the fight with a 43 year old, twice recently beat Hopkins, a clear favourite. Those are the facts. He was expected to win that fight with ease going into it - that is probably why he took it. He came out the fight with the expression of horror entrenched on his face after scrapeing a controversial split decision.
