-because he has been floored multiple times by nobodies

-because the guy got starched in a round yet moves onto a world title and the guy who did the above mentioned starching gets no exposure nor recognition and has almost dissapeared off the proverbial radar

-because he fought the guy who he said this about (and i quote) "he is the worst world champion in boxing" and we are supposed to believe his performance elevates him to the top tier, kotelnik was chose for a reason cant punch, moves in straight lines, lacks the youth and speed etc etc

-because this kid is a representative of all that is wrong with the sport pampered,over-exposed,cherry picked to perfection and most of all he hogs the limelight (whilst guys like froch and moore etc cant even secure a tv deal let alone get a mention in boxing monthly and earn there stripes the hard way and getting paid a pittance for the priviledge, until someone worth a salt eventually grows the balls to fight em) hes paraded around every media channel there is,gets a first class ticket to roach's gym following a beatdown by presscot, there are more fighters than amir kahn in the world who get sidelined to make way for the hype train (E.g FRANKIE GAVIN ring any bells, the world amateur champion!!he fought that night too albeit he is still in the early stages of his proffesional career but compare the 2 at the same point in their careers we were saturated with kahn yet gavin is an unknown quantity to the casual observer and IMO a much better boxer/prospect)..

-he is now trying to do a witter and cash in on hattons hardwork and beat up another past it fighter,he believes "its the fight britain wants to see" do we? (in no way do i want to see that fight and watch a guy like kahn smack the **** out of him for 12 rounds,a guy hatton would have steam rolled 4 years ago and shouldnt even be mentioned in the same breath as hatton!)

    and because he cant drive!

    jesus i never shutup.....

I'm not disagreeing with everything you're saying mate. Because i hate the fact that he might fight Erik Morales, which would be pathetic. But wasn't it Kotelnik that chose to fight him? That's what Jim Watt was saying, so that doesn't make sense what you said about them cherry picking that opponent.

Also, i could say so much worse about Ricky Hatton, i won't, because i just can't be arsed typing for ages at the moment as i'm about to get out. But people on these boards have heard my perfectly reasonably justifying of my tremendous dislike for Ricky Hatton for a long time now.

I hope Khan beats Hatton, not Morales

I do as well, and i'm not saying that about anyone on this thread. But when you hear for years that people dislike him because 'he thinks he is Naseem', then it's got to be race, they're personalities are nothing alike.

Bull****, in a country where Naz, Bruno, Benn etc were loved? Its to do with personality, nothing else.

u shouldn't hate/dislike khan because he got an easier ride, thats the way boxing is, its not khans fault and he should take the opportunities giving to him, he'd be crazy not to.

i couldnt give a flying pigs rectum about his race!

why is it when someone criticises a fighter the race card gets thrown in,how do you know im not asian?

you can't see the inherant flaws and media-whoreship of kahn?good boxer, fast, likeable to some but crumples like candy floss when hit flush its that simple..

its only the amir supporters that bring up race.....khan doesnt deserve to be mention in the same breath as hatton, who has been an ambassador for boxing....khan is frank warren's punk kid....

khan doesnt deserve to be in the same arena as hatton let alone the same ring...

Many dislike/hate Khan due to his glass jaw and like-this and like-that. But to prove naysayers wrong, he has to be the top dog in his new weight.

People are all entitled to their own views and opionions on the guy. but while were all loving him or hating him on forums where still interested in him and sooner or later will be paying to watchh his fights.

look at how many people luved hatton and compare it with how many people hated mayweather. did that affect there careers? not at all becuz wen ur in the ring ur on ur own

I don't hate him, and everyone can fail at things on any given day. I do not know him personally enough to like, dislike, or let alone hate him. However, frankly admitting I rushed through the rounds, feel a bit irritated that not getting floored, trading punches on the gloves with either guy not hitting flush a lot (with Kotelnik committing much more to the punch), not really pressing the action or backing Kotelnik up, was enough to give him literally every round of those more resembling a draw, giving the defending champion the short stick in EVERY close round. With the only bonus and "benefit of the doubt" given to the hometown boy, not the defending champion. And praising Khan for a commanding win ? Kohl obviously wanted to get rid of him and fed Kotelnik to the wolves, and they kindly delivered.
