All quite bizarre really. You hate Khan because he has a weak chin, not exactly his fault is it, you overlook his big heart. Froch, Moore struggle to get TV deals because they lack charisma and don't have a mainstream appeal of Khan, not exactly Khan's fault is it. But what is most hilarious is 'trying to cash in on Hatton's hard work' can't the the same guy who was on This Morning to the Premier League Darts exclaiming he would be p4p No1 after destroying Pac:rofl

I can't blame the fighter for that. Winning a medal in the Olympics is huge exposure, the general public already knows who he is so he is easy to market.

Its only a matter of time but it isn't his fault.

I've actually only seen him fight once, I think it was on the undercard for Calzaghe and Manfredo, what a joke that was:lol:

    really?

"weak chin and hate" dont put words in my mouth,i never actually said those! what i was alluding to with the" knockdowns" reference was the fact that a guy who has been floored by limond and gomez (themselves hardly noted for punching) and sparked out by a virtual unknown was still being marketed and touted as the real deal which as a boxing fan i find patronizing to say the least that is what is really bizarre and what i hate.

**** the charisma i couldnt care less if kahn could charm the socks off a ferrett, its boxing not "im a celebrity knock me the **** out breidis"

i cant understand your last part about hatton its gobbledygook ,but with regards to the great man i will say this amir is not yet fit to suck a fart out of hattons ever increasing arse

Gomez is a decent puncher, i think Khan having to make 135 lowered his punch resistance. Kolt landed quite a bit, didn't trouble Khan.

It's all about ratings & £££, not about pleasing the boxing purists.

Hatton isn't all that great, only decents wins were over faded Tszyu, Castillo.

    Yeah, you did!

4 years ago was July 2005. Hatton was about to fight Tszyu and Khan had just completed his pro debut. So yes, you said that.:tong

Come on, i don't mean to be argumentative but have you seen when Witter stood by Hatton after one of his (Witter's) fights and told Ricky Hatton in his face, 'i will destroy you'. I can find it on youtube if you like, and that was ages ago, when both were at domestic level effectively (regardless of a wbu bauble which Hatton always claimed was a world title). There's no greed, there's fighting the others who are at the top of your division because they are the top dogs, and you have earned your shot.

And come on, greed? Ricky Hatton when he beat Kostya Tszyu was on a platform to truly become one of the greatest light-welters ever, with a good win over Tackie which i rated, and then dethroning Tszyu, even if he might have been removed from his prime, as it is he opted for money fights which he had no chance of winning rather than those which would really enhance a 140 pound legacy, starting with his number one contender of years, Junior Witter.

As it stands i could probably name, and justifiably ten other light-welters that make a top ten list ahead of him.

I' trying to be level headed here, and i would rather just stop discussing it. I respect your opinion as well, but i must be honest, i'm not in agreement.

I think the point he's trying to make is the Hatton of "4 years ago" would have destroyed the current Khan.

If that is indeed the point he is making, You sir have made a tit of yourself.

You cant really properly know if you dislike him or not. Nobody knows the guy personally and what he really thinks and wants from his career. I must admit, if he fought morales it would **** me off alot. ATM i think the guy seems sound enough and his boxing is amazing to watch. And K man, there was only 4 close rounds, Khan won 8 Clearly. People dont seem to realise how much his jab got through Kot's guard either.

When I saw the title of this thread, I expected the worst. But to be honest I can't argue with any of your points, you're on the money. I don't have any feelings about Khan, but I think you are perfectly entitled to feel this way, all of this is true.

The only fighter I have strong enough feelings about to make a thread listing my gripes was one Mr Joe Calzaghe. But I'll leave for another time :D

Don't compare Khan to Witter. Witter has called Hatton out for years. Hatton was undefeated and top notch and would not fight Witter. He may fight Khan because of the money. Khan ain't ****! Hatton wants the money just like all people do.

Well put. I think these are the key reasons why people hate Khan - and deservedly so. He is a fraud, as you have made clear.

Manny too was floored by opponents early in his career when he was weight drained. Did you hate him too?

In the aftermath of that defeat Khan made drastic changes. He moved to the States, changed trainer, altered his game, and fought 3 times in less than 10 months. He deserves full credit picking himself up. Whereas Prescott has only fought twice, bitten in the former and loses a decision in the latter. He had the opportunity make it big after the Khan KO, but for whatever reason he didn't. While Khan's improved his all round game and will only get better, Prescott still throws those ameteur looping swings, and looks hopeless fighting on the inside. Complacency comes to mind, you can't live off that one 54 sec KO forever.

Get your facts right, Kotelnik chose him. You think Khan's gonna pass up the opportunity to win a world title off a guy he's pretty confident he can defeat? It's funny how Khan can be blasted for this, while someone like Calzaghe earns the laughable 'Legend Killer' status for fighting a man who he once stated as 'washed up' and a non worthy opponent.

    :blabla

This bull**** about Hatton being way past his best really gets on my tits. Let's get something straight, that loss to Pacquiao reaffirmed one thing......Hatton is not too different to a pub brawler! That my friend was the case all along. Only his army of football fans and the British hype machine, were under the illusion that he was P4P material and that he was unbeatable at a weak 140 division. Once he reached that certain level (Manny and Floyd), he was exposed for the one dimensional fighter he is.

Khan vs Hatton showdown would be interesting, and something the British public would definitely empty their wallets for.

You dislike (eheh way to avoid being called hater) "-because he has been floored multiple times by nobodies"

This is what you call :"sense of perspective and rationale?" Disliking someone (hating, say it) because he's been down?:huh

    oh Sure Malignaggi beats him...:nut

Maybe you should have read my original post, it transpires that you were the one who was just made a tit of themself:

If you're going to try and be a smart arse, it usually helps if you have something smart to say. Nevermind, I'm sure you'll get the hang of it eventually.
