Maybe im oversimplifying this but its just my logic: Castillo almost beat Floyd. But Hatton is essentially a better version of Castillo. So he has a very good chance of winning style-wise
It's not out of the question. This is boxing and anything can happen... But I will be going with Mayweather by UD
Floyd UD. Hatton with exactly the right fight plan (which in my opinion is mostly about which punches NOT to throw, rather than work-rate alone) could do it. He could do it. Mayweather is not a big WW.
I can not wait for this fight I think hatton can pull this off for all the reasons in this thread :good
Mayweather will win on points but Hatton will be competitive. I wouldn't be shocked if Hatton did win though. It would be an upset but not a huge one. Hatton is world class and nobody is invincible.
There is absolutely no logic in that statement. It's not so much that you're oversimplifying, it's that you don't understand the fundamentals of boxing. While I think Mayweather will win a tight and dubious decision, DLH is a non-factor in predicting this bout. It's like saying: Frazier beat Ali, Foreman beat Frazier, so Foreman beats Ali. It's not logic.
No, Hoya went into the bout with the wrong mindstate and that is what got him a loss. Hatton has good stamina and is the "REAL" pressure fighter. And remember sir, he didnt fight Oscar in his prime. Floyd and Hatton are in their primes and it's boxing. ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN!
Good Stamina? Holding your opponent all fight long is not good stamina. And if Floyd can take Oscars punches with no problem then he'll definetly take Hattons with no problem. And you keep forgetting to mention that Floyd MOVED UP to 154 to fight Delahoya. Hatton moved up to 147 and got schooled by friggin Collazo lmao. Then he ran back down. Imagine Hatton moving up to 154 to fight Delahoya, He'd be crippled:rofl
There no logic saying that since Castillo almost beat floyd thats means Hatton should beat Floyd. That like saying since "Chico" beat Castillo thats means he would do better or beat Mayweather and we all saw what happen when they fought. Hatton is no Castillo and it will be a different fight when they meet.
so you say im wrong thinking that hatton and castillo have similar styles. I've only seen each one of them fight a couple of times.
They have similar sytles but that doesn't mean Hatton will be as affective as Castillo was on that night. Anyway Castillo fought Floyd at his strongest weight class and Hatton moving to 147 where he was slow and not effective against Collazo.
