Ricky Hatton won't win this fight just because he wants to pressure Floyd.

I see a lot of people talking about the first Castillo fight and Ricky Hatton can pressure way more effective and blah blah blah!!!

For one Floyd didn't lose that fight! Castillo didn't get the W so how effective was it reallly?

Second Floyd gave Jose an immediate rematch and he schooled him
Castillo bought that same pressure still to no avail.

Third having been through those pressured styles and coming out with the W every time give's Floyd Mayweather every advantage. Ricky is doomed because he's never fought somebody like Floyd Mayweather it's a wrap come December 8th

 

Hatton definitely has a chance here and I'm a huge Mayweather fan, expect Hatton to come 110% for this fight, very similar to the Tszyu fight, he knows how big this fight is and how EVERYONE has been waiting for this(including Hatton) for a long time now.

 

As much as I'd like to agree with the OP, Hatton isn't terribly similar to how Castillo was when he fought PBF. Maybe in terms of youth and physicality.

I'd be willing to bet that the defining factor in this fight will be the refereeing. If Hatton is allowed to clinch and maul, even if its only 25% of what he usually does, Floyd is gonna be set off from that game plan. Floyd has NEVER fought a guy with Hatton's unique style, and it'll be interesting to see how he reacts to getting hugged all night. Hatton is probably the most dangerous opponent Floyd has shared the ring with thus far, and if he hurts Floyd I don't know how he will recover.

On a side note - How is PBF's chin/ability to take flush body shots? I know it's tempting to say both are good, but has he really taken all that much damage through his career? Even in the first Castillo fight he wasn't really taking too much real damage, alot of punches, yeah, but NOTHING compared to the hurt Hatton will lay on him when he starts popping him in the liver.

I can't stop picturing Floyd outboxing Hatton for 5-6 rounds, then getting caught once, twice, three times...If Hatton can get Floyd hurting, I don't doubt his ability to finish him off.

Again, the key factors in this fight are the refereeing and how Floyd reacts when hurt.

Castillo was successful because he got Floyd off the game plan. Hatton's game plan is to hurt Floyd :good Going to be a great fight.

 

Nady will do worst than that....Nady will do what he did to John Ruiz in the dressing room before the fight, threatening to take points and disqualify him if he held Jones.

......then all throughout the fight, everytime Ruiz was even close to hugging distance with Jones, Nady could be heard saying "no holding!"

Agreed, if Nady referees this fight, Hatton has zero chance of winning!

 

Hatton can come in at 110%. I don't know how closely you guy's Mayweather/Delahoya 24/7 but Floyd is always 110% at all times. Ricky has to be on his A game. Floyd stays on his A game and that'll be the difference. It'll be funny when the fight is over and Floyd has made this look so easy I wonder what everyone will say haha!!! I ****ing love boxing!
