well, thanks for your opinion. i'll be able to sleep better tonight. just curious, who has earned their shot against Floyd ? who has done better in their last two outings than khan ? pac just for the name i guess but that fight doesn't hold much weight anymore and i don't think beating pac will do anything for floyds legacy at the moment. Thurman, hasn't beaten anyone in the top 10 right Canelo been there done that cotto been there done that chino been there done that been there done that Bradley cant beat prov or chaves truth be told. ducked khan harder than I've ever seen anyone duck anyone so who ? porter first test got taken to school Brook not sure what he is looking to do but that could be a fight if he beats sme with name soon
Kell Brook has won a belt in his last fight against a guy who beat alexander and I forgot Collazo is a world beater
Khan went life or death with Julio Diaz and since then has had one big win earning him a fight with floyd ?
so if you're saying porter's first test was kell brook what does that say for Devon as an opponent then ?
And Thurman has had decent fights at 147 beating an undefeated chavez and an undefeated bundu who was coming off a win against undefeated british prospect frankie gavin and has an undefeated record and had no problems with the boogeyman julio diaz
And I said in the video Pacquiao is the only one deserving a shot an not because of the name but he's beat better names in his last 3 fights than amir khan and of course it's been a highly anticipated matchup for years so fight Pacquiao in may and have one of these 147 names earn a shot for september
I would argue this but, truth is, arguments like these just don't even matter when it comes to guys like Floyd. The only thing Floyd cares about at this stage in his career is "will the fight sell?" and on that point, Floyd himself already validated Khan when he showed how serious he was about fighting him by talking it up and even setting up a poll. Even if it were a guy you deemed "worthy" you would just get frustrated if/when Floyd didn't fight him. All that matters is Floyd fighting a guy who the public believes "can" beat him, because that's all it takes to sell a fight for Floyd. And, that does not come down to who Khan has fought in the past and what happened yadda yadda It only comes down to the public perception of does the opponent look to have a sum of parts that gives him a chance at anyone at the world class level, because that's an opponent that will sell against Floyd.
If Alexander hadn't have lost to Shawn porter then i would say khan would've earned his floyd fight. And thurman 100% wouldn't get him a mayweather fight. He's got danny garcia / kell brook which will earn him it. I'd say he should just fight danny cuz that'll avenge a loss + more rewarding than brook.
