I do think sometimes it can get more sinister. The aftermath of Kotelnik-Alexander had all the signs of Kotelnik being punished for going against the script.

Bradley-Alexander was already a done deal, the fight was in Devon's home town, and Kotelnik was supposed to be a build-up fight to showcase Devon.

Instead of playing along, Kotelnik fought to win, got screwed on the cards, and although he looked very good, King never let him fight again. He was completely blackballed and put on the shelf after what should've been a career-reviving performance (and win, on my cards).

    Amazingly well written, interesting stuff.

But that wasn't the only one of Mike's fixed fights.

Very interesting but also chilling. Makes me wonder why I follow the sport at all. I've always seen boxing as an antidote to the cheating and preening of football - when the bell rings, the truth comes out etc. Guess that isn't really the case.

Part of me would love to see a complete, total, 100% accurate list of fixed/rigged fights and which methods of fixing were used....even with the likely inevitable outcome of me winding up jaded as hell on the sport.

It's not like boxing's thought twice about giving fans the finger before. I'd probably at least respect the honesty.

Great article but makes me lose confidence in the sport as a whole.

that's why bob and pac won't fight floyd, they won't be able to put the fix in.

as long as manny stays within top rank his fights will be fixed.

    clottey
    mosley
    margarito
    rios
    bradley

    all fixed fights for sure.

Ask Bruce "the Mouse" Straus. Read his book. Great athlete. About 150 fights. He made more money laying down as the opponent. Great actor. Made it look real. And the guy could fight. Over 50 wins when they didn't pay him to lay down.

You still had confidence in the sport? I have even lost confidence in every kind of sport, there isn't a single clean one.

It's all a business and a game of powers, nothing more.

But, yeah, there are still peoples arguing that peds doesn't give advantages, for ****'s sake!

Soccer games, Cycling races an even Snooker.
All sports where money is involved have rotten apples and their are matches that are fixed. It is proven multiple times.
If you see it any other way it's just being naive.
