Oh come on. If Mundine beat Sturm or even lasted with Pavlik he would get respect. You have a point, I meam Mundine deserves a level of respect for his career this far, no matter how far short of it's potential. But there is no point pretending that he hasn't chose to fight a dubious level of competition almost all of the time. His only 'risks' have been onesw he needed to take in order to get a title. Otherwise his tactic has been to hold on to his status with the smallest amount of risk possible. His fights lately have been meaningless affairs. He can get big dollars and lots of attention in Australia due to his reputation. Unfortunately he has taken this option. If everybody acks like this is o.k., what reason does he have to fight any relevant fight? Also, if we act like his embarrassing **** takling is at all dignifying, he will just keep doing it. And that is not a good thing. Therfore, Mundine is a coward and an idiot. Nothing untoward about saying that. :good:hey
The thing is, everybody must stand in the light of the expectations of their profession. In my profession, if I do cowardly things then I should very well be made to answer for them. Mundine is a boxer. Given that boxing is dangerous, we all have to give a little respect no matter what. but that only goes so far. Boxers are well compensated financially for their efforts, and ultimately, the sport only exists because the fans support it. Criticism is important. There needs to be more people willing to criticize, it's because people shutup that meaningless fights get made. I do understand that some of the criticism is not constructive though. So you guys have a point.
