Why I think Dirrell "SHOULD" be able to beat Abraham!

Dirrell could give Abraham a lot of problems and can beat him. However, even though Dirrell is slick and gives people problems hes not exactly a harnessed fighter at this point. He brings his hands low a lot (which he paid the price for when knocked down by Rocha), he throws his hands up when his back is along the ropes to try to get out; he hasn't paid the price for it yet because he hasn't been caught.

Dirrell's a good boxer but based on his technical ability and his athletic gifts he should have blown Froch away; perhaps even get a stoppage. I'm just hoping he doesn't figure out how good he can be against Abraham!

AA puts himself in danger of losing while Pavlik fights bums and smaller men. I used to think PAv was ok, but his fans are the worst lol... AA will win, and he'll ko Dirrell in 6.

Dirrell has the tools to put up a great fight and win, but his chin will be exposed in this fight as AA knows he is dealing with a good boxer and precision puncher. AA will be more careful in this fight.

Dirrell won't get through Abraham's defense without taking risks with his range. Jabs and straight rights won't do it. He'll need to get close enough to land hooks and body shots, and that will make him vulnerable to straight counters from Abraham.

Dirrell's best shot will be to invite counters from Abraham, and then counter the counters. But even then, he'll be taking some to give some, and that works in Abraham's favor.

The key for Abraham is going to be starting faster than normal, and trying to throw 2-3 periods of aggression into each round as opposed to the usual last 30 seconds he relies on. He needs to be more unpredictable than that against Dirrell, especially in Michigan.

I think Abraham wins by stoppage, or a close decision based on extra points for knockdowns. He can drop Dirrell with counters if Dirrell gets careless, which he might.

There is method to Abraham's madness... he lets you win the first few rounds and then he takes you out. Andre could win this one but the word "should" might be too strong.

Julio Cesar Chavez let all his opponents take the first five rounds then he took them apart, although Abraham's specific techniques varies a bit from Chavez it is the same idea. The only way Andre wins this fight is stick and move for 12 rounds if he decides to stand and exchange even for a few seconds he is in trouble.

I can see how Dirrell can win this fight but I think he is to inexperienced to be going in with Abraham, although he would of learned alot in the Froch fight. Good luck to him.

Actually thats what I think 2

I think Abraham will start the usual way for the first 2 rounds, let Dirrel get some confidence and let him think he still got 1 - 2 easy rounds.
Then shock him at the middle or end of the 3rd unleash all he has and push him in a corner where Abraham can trap hitm (which Froch like didn't do at all) with his wide hooks, at least he will do much better than Froch.

If Dirrel survives this he will at least be very afraid to engage in the 4th and Abraham can relax and regain some power for the next rounds.

Abraham never faced a fighter as fast as Dirrell and he and Uli know it, he will never be allowed to give away 4 rounds as easy as usual.

A beats B who beats C - A beats C logic: Abraham beat Taylor with much more ease than Froch. Dirrell had a close fight with Froch. Abraham beats Dirrell.

Real logic: Dirrell will pose alot of trouble for Abraham. How does he react when Abraham starts putting that real pressure on him, landing hard, explosive combinations. Can he step it up? He has the skillset you need to beat Arthur, but that guy is so explosive, so hard to really land clean on. He is always focused, determined and confident.

Dirrell's carrier will be over after this fight, he's too green and he needed at least 1 more year before stepping in with someone like AA.
No doubt in my mind that he would have dominated Froch if he had more experience and imo would give AA a better
fight too, but right now he's gonna get KOd.

Dirrell brought up that Abraham doesn't like body shots in Ep.4. I don't see him going to AA's body at all but who knows....could happen.

Dirrell will run like hell and hope for the Hometown judges to give him the W.

If he runs I think a lot of people will be watching the fight and hoping AA catches him.

If he boxes AA then we could have a real interesting fight and a good challange for AA.

Can anyone? AA's KO highlights are out of this world.

  13. Dirrell is gonna RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN just like he did against Curtis Stevens and that piece of **** fight.

As much as I wanna see Dirrell get KTFO, Abraham is gonna have to really do something special to win this one.

I've studied Abraham pretty closely over the course of 7 or 8 fights. I think there are certain keys to beating him that Dirrell does not possess.

You need a jack hammer of a jab. Jab the **** out of AA, and he shells up and stays that way.

You need a huge right hand. Every once in a while slide over a few inches and hit him on the left ear with a lead right cross. Use that to hurt him and to keep him hurt. Arthur will shell up in a corner.

You need a great chin because at some point AA will catch you.

You need some serious mental toughness. You can't get frustrated by the fact that you are beating the **** out of this guy, but he's still standing there.

You have to be able to think on your feet. You can't afford many mistakes.

You need a high work rate. Throw at least 75-80 punches per round. That's one more thing that will send AA to a corner where he'll shell up and do nothing.

Do the above, and you can put AA in a corner and suck the life out of him. However, the above does not sound much like Andre Dirrell.
