Guaranteed...at least in terms of sheer entertainment if not a perfect display of technique! Can't wait
Dirrel is Good But I dont Think he can run 12 Rounds Away From Abraham :rofl:rofl:rofl Abraham is to Strong for Dirrel . Abraham By TKO Round 10
Good analysis, Boo, but two things are misssing: You need to have fast hands and good movement. A stationary opponent with slow handspeed would've all kinds of trouble against AA.
Hermit, you and I know that Abraham was pretty much done with MW, because of his weight problems. Make no mistake, the Abraham who fought Simon is not the same guy who fought Taylor. The Simon fight was the worst fight in AA's career (so far).
Dirrell could beat many fighters but whether he does or not is another thing. Physically he is equipped, mentally is the question.
Dirrells quickness could well undo arthur , We'll get a much better idea once Arthur lands on him. If he can live with Arthurs power he can build a good early lead as Arthur takes so long to get going. I'd bet on Arthur but Dirrell is by no means out of it
That sounds like the Kessler who smashed Andrade. Jab-right hand Great chin Not getting frustrated, keeping focus (see Andrade fight) Keeping focus, not making mistakes High work rate Strong with opponent on the ropes All traits that Kessler does possess.
Dirrell showed some skills and speed against froch even though i didnt agree with his tactics at all, if he can somehow avoid a flush shot from aa i dont see any reason why he cant win, he is fighting at home too so it will be very hard for aa to get the decision if the fight is anyway close
I feel Abraham is a bit overconfident right now and flying back and forth between Germany and the US won't do good to his body. There are two ways Dirrell can win this one: potshot and run all night hoping that the judges will get him the hometown call, or confront danger, stay busy with combinations and smart movement, push the first 3 rounds, use controlled aggression mid-fight and look for counters vs. the tiring and more brave Abraham in the championship rounds. Dirrell's gonna have to be 100% alert, on the move all night and often changing pace, directions and rhythm so AA couldn't figure him out. Dirrell has the tools necessary to beat Abraham, but it's easier said than done.
I said that Simon made a good fight, but also that Abraham was a shell of himself compared to his performances against Gevor or Ikeke.
I took a lot of heat starting about a year before AA moved up saying that the fight between him and Pavlik was too late to happen at MW because of AA's weight problems. Need to get my digs in now for the **** I took then. Seriously, people are still pissed at Pavlik that AA moved up. Few seem to realize the fight was already downgraded. Recent article in the local rag makes it sound like Pavlik may have to move up sooner rather than later though. They considered training in Florida so the extra heat would help with the weight.
AA is a larger version of Cotto and his speed is underestimated. Throws a very good Jab , and is difficult to hit , no this one goes AA's way by UD and it isnt a difficult night doing it.
