Apparently Ian Botham,no softie, didnt want to mess with Peter Willey(I said Peter, not Peters)
Also,Fred Trueman recalls Brian Close throwing punches"like Lennox Lewis"at another cricketer in his book.
Dont know about boxing but dont think itd be adviseable to mess with FST either.

Brian Close was one very hard man. Not sure how well he could dish it out. But he could take your best shot all day.

Matthew Hayden looked like a proper mean ****. Stand up guy apparantly but mean looking. No doubt Symonds could handle himself to.

    What about Steve Harmison? Unit.

Symonds another unit. Anyone who saw him tackle that streaker a few years ago knows to keep well clear of upsetting him.

he looked **** when i saw him on tv on the pads, i think he will get ****ed in a round, to me it looked like any decent even below average pro would finish him off in a round

It just means they will probably target a below average pro for his debut.

Harmison is a wuss. he'd struggle to beat Shane Watson or Michael Clarke.

I know someone who knows Ponting, Was drinking in Oz and some Rugby League lads started getting rude. Well Ponting wouldn't back down and took them on and gave as good as he got from both. The fella says his forearms are massive and he takes no crap at all!.

By all accounts Lee is a really nice bloke....

Ponting had a rep in his younger days for drinking and fighting... and he's always been pretty snappy with the verbals.

Most cricket fans hate him, I've always been a big fan.

Remember seeing one of Flintoff's progs whilst pissed late one night. Think it was one of the itv channels where he has ex sportsmen on there with him and Steve Collins was on it. They were having a mess about in the ring or something. Collins seemed to say he had a lot of natural ability - dunno if that was just talk for the camera tho. He did seem to have a fair whack on him if I remember rightly as Collins was impressed how heavy the punches were.
