wtf is this? 7th best win? What wins are better than beating a titlist? Lemmy is the only MW titlist 3G has beat!

I agree Lemmys pretty basic as far an champs go, but don't write off someon with world class attributes, however few they are.

Lemmy is probably only worse than Jacobs, 3G's best win, and that's giving Jacobs credit. Jacobs might be worse.

Amateur fights is irrelevant. Pro fights take more years off the clock.
By your logic , Usyk has only 3-4 years left in the game before he's past it. I disagree with that.

Pressure fighter in the past burn out early because they tended to get pummeled as they came forward. Not the case with Golovkin so why even make the argument.
Golovkin is a boxer/puncher type guy who boxes ultra defensively when faced with anybody who isn't a blow-over.

I rate Martinez highly, h2h I think he would upset a lot of fighters over the years that maybe rated higher than him..I really think he stops Martinez though before the end while a head and chasing Martinez down..The one thing I would've like to have seen is GGG's cutting off skills v Martinez movement. I think Sergio looks good, but has to settle down at some stage quite early and GGG starts to land more and more

No, since Taylor beat a 34-year old Joppy who had been absolutely massacred by an even older Hopkins in his previous fight. Haven't you been harping on about how old the mid 30's are?

Tito knocked a younger Joppy out cold, btw. As for best opponent, you know...

And you can't do the circular logic of "he's the best Hopkins faced because he beat Hopkins, hence Hopkins lost to the best he faced." By that logic you always lose to the best you faced.

Hopkins was 40 and lost two razor close fights to a speedy up and comer. Get back to me in four years and we'll see how Golovkin does against the young hungry fighters by that stage.

You're not seriously trying to say Hopkins beat Tito by fouling are you? He outclassed him, no ifs no buts.

And, oh yes, fighters coming up in weight. Remind me, did GGG outclass and KO Canelo, who also came up in weight and who, like Tito but unlike Brook, actually had sone something at MW.

? Ok, lets see Golovkin's 7 best wins according to you.

I'd probably also make Golovkin a favorite, but we will never know for sure. In any case, Martinez definitely was a level or two above Lemieux.

Pmsl yeah, zero wear and tear:duh
Didn't say that, but yes his pro career will be shorter if hes had 100's of amateur fights, again wear and tear
GGG catches a lot, its his only flaw, head movement..He has an iron chin to rely on, so nope your wrong again.

I'll give Saunders another look. You never know, the fight between him and Golovkin might come off, at some point.

As for Saunders, one fighter that should stay far away from him is Canelo. If Canelo hasn't improved massively since Trout and Lara (which I don't think he has), Saunders will have a field day in there.

Saunders looks like the kind of fighter that really can make you look bad. He'd be a good pay-day but a very tricky proposition for anyone at MW right now I reckon.

He looked like his usual self again vs Vanes so that performance dispels any notion he was past it.

I couldn't care less how much water weight Canelo puts on, after the official weigh-in, or what the unofficial weigh-ins say. Alvarez has had to build himself up to train for and compete at middleweight.

He has fought the considerable majority of his career at and below the 154 limit. He was able to comfortably make 154 for the Smith bout, in between, his catchweight bouts and first fight over 160 in May 2017.

Notwithstanding the fact that he bloats, after the official weigh-in, there is no real evidence that 160 is his optimum division and I would say his crash weight gain is more a hindrance than a help, against genuinely strong middleweights.

although to be fair, vanes was a late replacement reminiscent of 3Gs bum killing days before 2014.

You didn't think Taylor was better than Joppy and Holmes. He was and I pointed out that Taylor beat Holmes. GGG has a lot of total amateur and pro fights, and has slowed down at age 36-37, those points stand.

Who were the best natural middles that Hopkins beat? Can anyone answer this question?! I see he lost to the best he fought, and was floored twice and drew with a guy who wasn't very good.

I'm not saying it isn't a big name win. I am saying he fought dirty, hitting Tito with kidney shots on the side the ref could not see. Tito was a blown up welter.

Okay, I'll give you five but you owe me a list of the best natural middles that Hopkins beat.

1 ) Canelo. Its a robbery, we know who won. You said according to me.
    2 ) Jacobs
    3 ) Murray
    4 ) Brook
5 ) Lots of guys about even. I'll go with Lemieux as he's still in the top ten.
