FOr the record Roy ate jabbers alive. His entire style was predicated around slipping to counter with the straight right or left hook before pivoting of the line. If GGG's got any shot vs Jones he's better be ready to seek and destroy.

Griffin out jabbed Roy in their first bout and had way shorter arms than GGG does, Jones came out blasting in their rematch but no way could he try that with GGG. McCallum gave Roy problems with the jab before his old legs gave out and he was in woeful condition compared to his prime at light middle and Calzaghe dominated a faded Jones also, Joe`s fast jab bothered Roy but his and Griffin`s fast counters are what troubled Roy also, GGG is an amazing counter puncher and always keeps you in punching range.

Griffen and GGG had the exact same reach of 70' so im not sure where you got the notion that GGG has way longer arms.

Plus this was LHW Roy against LHW , and Griffen was a very defensive counter puncher who spent the fight looking to capitalize on Roys mistakes. GGG does not fight that way and would be far more hittable for Roy than Griffen was.

A 160/168 Roy would have lit Golovkin up like a Christmas tree. If Canelo had MW Roys stamina endurance and work-rate , imagine how lop sided the fight would have been. It was razor close as it was .

But GGG is not on the same level of speed as Griffin, or McCallum for that matter. I might actually favor McCallum over GGG at 160. GGG might be one of the slowest top 20 middles ever. He wins because he hits hard, cuts the ring well, has an ATG chin and a good (though not great) jab. I like GGG, is a true fighter who should have probably Ko'ed Canelo but he was too content to just win close rounds.

Also I'm not really buying GGG as a great or even above average counter puncher. I just don't see the evidence for it. Granted I haven't watched all of GGG's fights, If you can point me to some examples to change my mind I'll consider it. Even if he is he is no where near as fast as they guys you mentioned.

Imagine also if Canelo was a foot taller with brown hair too, imagine what he would be capable of then with a few tattoos too. That Canelo would UD Usyk but draw with Henry Akinwande imo

who has he beaten age 35? zero, i think, I tihnk Jacobs was at 34?

so he beat more before 35, by definition...what you wrote was entirely wrong. beating anyone is better than beating noone.

McCallum is best know for losing and a draw, isn't he? You're right, you haven't seen much of GGG's fights.

    Examples Please.

No McCallum is probably best known for taking out an undefeated Julian Jackson first and then two amazing fights with James Toney.

McCallum is best known for belts at three weights.

The loss you refer to is with RJJ and mike was near 40. You'd be a fool to use that as an example of mike's mediocrity. Is that what you were trying to do? serious?? u've proved the opposite of your intention, how bad an argument could u have chosen??

The draw you refer to was with jame toney, one of the top MWs ever, not a canelo, one of the top MWs of merely "today". Again, u serious?

I bet Mendoza mentioned Zaggers. That will cause Herol to put him on his "enemies for life" list.

Wade is a non-ranked bum and Brook was a welter weight. Even Felix Sturm could beat those two guys.

Carl Froch's knockout of George Groves at 37 is light years greater than GGG's gift to Danny Jacobs when he was a prime 34. Froch is obviously far greater than Golovkin.

So you rank Adonis Stevenson as a rare one off ATG type fighter? According your your grading system , he's right up there among the best , and miles beyond Golovkin on the ATG P4P list.

Have a hawk at these incredible achievements.

As a 36 year old fossil in 2013 he obliterated 3 top level fighters - Tony Bellew , Chad Dawson and Tavoris Cloud.
He even managed to get another dominant win in that same year against Darnel Boone. Those 4 wins alone in ONE year is arguably greater than all GGGs defenses put together. At he did it at 36.. Just .. WOW!

At 37 he knocked out Dmitry Sukhotsky and defeated highly touted Fonfara who went on to destroy Chavev Jr and ruin Nathan Cleverly. What has Dom Wade done since? lol

38 he blew away Tommy Karpancy and Thomas Williams Jr who are Willy Munroe and Danny Geale level opponents.

39 he ended the Fonfara rematch in two rounds. Do you think GGG would blow Jacobs away in 2 rounds at age 39?

So how about that? Stevenosn is clearly far greater than Gennady Golovkin.

    He was mandatory

    He was heavier than Golovkin.

^Opinion. Of course, Sturm was too busy ducking GGG to worry about them.

Except for that Froch wouldn't get into the ring with GGG for a massive payday and with a big weight advantage. He resorted to hurling insults from behind wifey's skirt.

Top 15 seems very reasonable to me. The only one I'd have clearly above him since Hagler is Hopkins.
