I think that Haye is able to fight on the back foot, and although not great defensivley (neither are) he can counter punch, and fight on the ropes, something I have never seen from Macca, and something i don't think he has prepared to do.

I take it you watched the Hobson fight last night? I do agree though, Haye brings much more to the table, especially offensively, but has huge deficiencies in his defence and punch resistance which make it difficult for a Haye win to be a 'sure thing'. (if that exists) I think he will prevail but not without some dodgy moments along the way.

Yeh I watched Hobson last night, if he can trouble you anyone can. He also struggled with Dominguez when he attacked him.

He never had to counter or fight on the back foot against Braithwaite either, and he only spars with guys that are smaller than him, who will never be able to puch him about, Haye can push him about and rough him up.

Haye should win because he's a far better fighter, its that simple imo. In the UK its being billed as some sort of 50/50 type fight to sell tickets/viewers etc.

Only the fact that Haye is a bit chinny at Cruiser (maybe its the weight and itll be better at heavy, ala Cotto, I dont know) makes it even interesting for me.

Surely you have seen the changes In Enzo from the Hobson to Braithwaite fight.

And are you guys Ignoring Haye's weight problems as he body builded his way to walking around as high as 230lbs.

Do you think he'll get really fat when he's done boxing?

I am not ignoring Hayes weight problems. I just feel that factor is small in comparison to others favuring Haye.

Braithwaite never even attempted to put Macca under pressure.

Because Macca was boxing Braithwaites head off with Jabs, uppercuts and body shots looking simular to Lennox.

Imagine if Enzo didn't hold the WBO title but still had the same record (Bobby Gunn etc). You'd all be saying it's a mismatch and that he doesn't even deserve a shot. It's amazing how one paper title can make it look like a pick 'em fight.

It's just a lot of clever promotion to make this look like a competitive fight.

Hatton vs Mayweather was good promotion to make it look like a 50/50 fight.

Everyone on ESB British forum wanted this fight, Enzo would certainly deserve a shot if there was no such thing as the WBO belt.

I never thought of it like that, I guess that his record is a bit cack - but I think it is possible to read a fighters ability beyond the fighters he has fought and I reckon Enzo is better than his record on paper would suggest. It should be a good fight.

I want DH to win and expose Enzo but if he is seriously weight drained then Macca stands a chance to cause an upset.

I reckon it'll be a decent fight. I don't understand how some of you can talk the way you do about world champions, 'paper' or not.

Enzo might have taken his time to be truly tested but now it's happening, so to call him a fraud before his first real test is over seems a tad ridiculous to me.

It's not like Haye's resume is a who's who of the division either. Other than Mormeck, they're fairly evenly matched.

I think Haye takes it via TKO but not as easily as others appear to be making out...

macca has fought two fairly decent opponents in a shot braithwaite and dominguez. everyone else though doesn't come close to any of haye's last 6 opponents

you think hobson is in the same league as gurov, fragomeni, bonin and johansen? because i've read articles where he is mentioned as proof macca has been in with good fighters.
