1. What Al is doing is successful. The top guys get hated on, and Al is at the top right now, for better or worse. 2. He hides behind a wall. Bob is an a$$...but he is at least on camera and in your face about it. When you hide, it makes people think you have something to hide. 3. His role as an "Advisor". How this disgrace has continued for so long is an embarrassment to the sport, even though Al is the lesser of all evils. It's shady and that makes one think about what other shady sh*t is going on. (i.e. Quillen giving up a payday he could only dream of so that Al could stick it to Jay Z) I personally think Al is the best available. He isn't a convicted murderer like King, a completely incompetent promoter like Fiddy, or a compulsive liar and (from the words of his own fighters) a cheat. Of the Major players, Bob is the worst, but he is viewed by many as going to h*ll in a handbag. There is still hate there, but his reign is over. ... Also Al is black. Just kiddin guys.
The part about Haymon being hated because he is black is true. There are no legitimate other reasons. These sissies on this forum don't box, promote, or practice law. They don't know **** about business.
al "hides for a reason"...someone brought it up in good detail a year or so ago...i forget who it was on here.... but the short version was "its hard to bring down or criticize someone you rarely see".....sure al gets criticized alot on forums by hardcore fans ....but not in the media....the most youll ever see about him is the "who is this mystery man that runs boxing" piece.....
Boxing definitely needs fixing, but one man controlling the most of the game is not the way to do it. Establishing a federal commission who can enforce rules and laws such as the Ali Act that Haymon is breaking is what is needed. You add the fact that Haymon is a dirty snake who was chased out of the music industry and now he tried to destroy a company by unethical measures, I can see why people are skeptical. Heymon might be a good business man who takes care of himself, but he's still a snake, and snakes are bad for boxing, look at all the harm Arum has done, Heymon is no different, in fact he may end up being worse.
Al haymon puts on matches like salka vs Garcia and wilder vs Molina that's why Pssst... Who's wilder fighting next ? Lol
Apparently Wilders looking to fight some Japanese heavyweight. Kind of strange considering he said he wanted to take a fight to prepare him for povetkin. Maybe the Japanese guy knows the russian for 'please stop hitting me'
And Bob gives you Pac vs Rios and Pac vs Algieri, Donaire vs Prado, etc. Bob just doesn't have many good fighters left (or that want to be there) to match softly. If you think Arum is better than Al, then there is no point in us talking. Al isn't a savior...but he's the best there is. Bob's trying to force fighters like Zou down our throats when it's obvious he not that good. psst... who is Mikey Garcia fighting next?
It's not even true. The hate Bob has had down the years is incredible. I mean, deserved, but some of the bile directed his way is incredible. Hayman hasn't even melted the tip of the tip of the iceberg of the hate that was directed at Bob over the years. The sport didn't start ticking over last year boys.
So Danny Garcia who was ranked number 1 at 140 that fought salka who was ranked 77th at the 135lBs is comparable to rios vs pac or pac vs Algeri??? Pssst.. Give me one example where bob ever sank that low I'll wait
Except there's absolutely no indication that this is who Wilder's going to fight next. Japanese promoters wanted to get their guy a shot (which is their job), made an approach, Wilder's team/Haymon said no thanks ... end of story.
