We'd have to see how Zab does in the late rounds against a top opponent to really gauge his chances at beating the 140 elite. He's always been dangerous in the early rounds, even against Mayweather he was very effective in the first few. Could be going back down to 140 will improve late round performance, but it could be, as previous posters have commented, that his fades have more to do with the inability to adapt than than his conditioning problems. In any event, it's always fun to watch Zab fight, and I'll be looking forward to seeing how his latest comeback pans out.
Judah has fallen to lesser fighters with less power and speed than himself like Baldomir and Clottey. Judah in his better days also fell to Cotto. Bradley does not have the power Cotto had, but Cotto and Clottey beside the power difference are similar in that they like putting pressure and coming forward. Bradley likes to do that, but has shown vs. Holt and Abregu who are both tall lanky, but strong fighters he can box beautifully and has speed to go with it. Judah is about 5'8'' he is not 5'10'' or taller like Abregu or Holt, so if it became a boxing match between Judah and Bradley I'd still favor Bradley I don't think he is much slower than Judah, but he is better disciplined and throws more punches in punches. They are both hotheads still and Bradley was never a ko artist, but like a prime Juan Diaz at 135, he overwhelms opponents with his nonstop pressure and quick hands. He will outlast Judah unless Judah fights very smart behind his jab and keeps him at a distance. Judah is still very fast and the harder puncher of the 2 and a great finisher, but on the same token Judah does not do good with pressure fighters.
You can put a lot of names in there in place of Tim Bradley and the silence would be deafening. Or you might come of with one answer Baldi, perhaps. Keeping in mind he has basically been a 140 pound guy, out weighed severely by everyone he lost to except Floyd. Substitute Tim Bradley for Amir Khan Devon Alexander Ricky Hatton and see what kind of answers you come up with.:huh
not really much to think about.....Zab would destroy Tim and it wouldn't be pretty. I honestly wasn't impressed that much with Tim at 147. He seem slower, but I think his power improved. Zab would be far too much for Tim at 147 or 140.
Which Zab Judah? The one who beats C fighters when he's motivated by a loss or the one that loses to elite fighters after getting over confident from a C level victory?
Still not totally convince Judah can beat Bradley. Bradley has weaknesses, but Judah has more. Judah has the power and speed to beat Bradley, but his track record doesn't look good against top notch opponents.
The mental aspect is Judah's downfall but a motivate and mature Zab is dangerous for anyone. The fact that Tim in my honest opinion is OVER hyped makes me feel that a guy like Zab would beat him. Zab would in my opinion easily outspeed and find a connecting punch to KO Tim. And I do like Tim but he's not great in any one area. The best fighter Tim beat was Witter....and a very old Nate Campbell.....not really anything to start calling the Hall for.
One win from Zab vs a guy that hasn't been that good for a few years and now he going to be a fighter that is in his prime and very sharp. UGH.....hell maybe Mickey Ward should comback win one fight..and have a post come up on how he should get a shot at the belt. Zab needs a few good wins before the talk of him fighting for the belt should start.
So who has Zab beat in the last 4 years that makes you think he should get a shot..or can beat a belt holder right now?
Hey kermit, does your back hurt? "I....... c..c...c... can't..... breath!" And your winner, paul williams!!!!! "SON OF A *****" *Punch an ambulance door.
