The real reason why, is becuase Margaritos fan express how Floyd rejected 8 Million Dollars to fight Margarito, PBF believers didnt like hearing that and didnt like the idea of Boxing fans calling Floyd out on his cherry picking. They have made every excuse for Floyd not to fight Margarito, went as far as to discredit the man, claiming that he is a bum, 99.9% of those people who hate on Tony all predicted Cotto to beat Tony, once that didnt happen their hate elevated to a whole new level, they were not only proven wrong by Margarito they were out right Owned that night, especially when they saw the life get beaten out of Cotto leaving him to take two knees and call it a night. Now with Tony on top again, they are looking for any excuse they can get to discredit him, The Paul Williams arguement is the only peice of foil they have left, and they really dont even have that Paul dumped his title and moved up in weight to fight a couple of no names and some how he is worthey of a shot? he hasnt beat any solid names since his narrow win over Margarito. Anyhow the Pretty Boys here, hate Tony simply becuase they read and hear people say things about Tony that you will never hear or read people say about Mayweather and that is due to the fact that the so called "Sweet Science" style of Mayweather simply will never earn him to be called a Warrior.
this is the dumbest ****in post I have ever read.. Margarito does not really matter to Floyd or his fans.. There is a reason that Floyd has teh highest PPV sale (Floyd vs. DLH), and that his last two fights he made 20 mill and 30 mill. Floyd is on a level that Margarito will never reach and that bothers the **** out of all of Margies fans.. There is a reason teh guy is discredited like you said. its because he has 5 ****in loses.. Nobody gives a **** about this warrior crap that margarito fans talk. Floyd is undefeated and retired P4P champ.. 20 years from now Floyd will still be talked about, a guy that lost to Daniel Santos will not be!
I dont agree with Bazzoka but i dont undertsand what you are saying either... What does PPV numbers have to do with that? DOes JMM had big ppv numbers? Does that mean we can spit on him? ANd, I DON'T GIVE A **** how many loses a fighter have. As long as he's exciting and fun to watch (and still, beat top guys like Cotto and CLottey or give a hard fight to a top guy like Williams). If you care about loses, then you just don't like boxing. Also, we are still talking about foreman (lost to Young), Hopkins (lost to CLinton Mitchell), Pacquiao (lost to Rustico Torrecampo) for eample...ALl those guys we're not as good as Santos... WHat is wrong with you?
Margarito doesn't want to fight Williams and if his team is holding him back, maybe he needs to get a better team. If he feels that he won the fight against Williams, whats the big deal with a rematch? Especially if they are offering 4m for the battle. Williams has a solid name in the game ... he's been featured on HBO and Showtime ... he's also been on PPV undercards ... so i'm sure he's known. People knock Margarito because he's not stepping up to the plate and fighting who he needs to fight. Its not like he's undefeated ... its not like he's a future hall of famer ... he has to put some work in and avenge those losses.
because he went off about how floyd wouldn't fight margarito, the point i was trying to make is floyd is on a stage margarito can't reach. hence the high ppv sales and millions made arguement. its a good point on the losses with foreman, hopkins, etc.., didn't really look at it like that. but also you have to look at it like floyd has never had a let down where he lost to lesser competition so that undefeated mark is a pretty significant thing..
Who can he fight without taking step backwards? Paul offered Margo a fight at 147 recently. he says he can make it, he can make it. He's moved up and came down already, what's stopping it from happening again? Williams is being forced out of the division by Arum and Margo nuthuggers have no problem with it.
Mayweather didn't duck Margarito ... he told Margarito face to face that he'll fight him and (in not so many words) you have to build yourself up so that the fight can be a big fight. He has 5 L's ... he needs to bring something to the table that seperates him from other fighters ... Floyd can do that ... 12 yrs undefeated ... 14 champions defeated ... 20 championship fights ... world championship in first 2 yrs as a pro ... 5-division, 6-time world champion ... 2-time welterweight champion ... 3-time linear/ring magazine champion ... defeated 4-linear champions undefeated. Margarito can't do that ... all he can do is beg, wish, and hope ...
