The fight was extremely close. Margarito was rocking the bigger Williams at times. Anyone who says Williams took Margarito to school is delusional.

I can see this fight being scored for either fighter. Sadly, most people don't credit body punching as much.

 

It was a good fight, it was somewhat close, but it was clear who the winner.
To say either man could've won or that it was extremely close is overdoing it. And yes, AM got full credit for his body punching

 

Most of the haters (IMO) are Paul Williams fans!
They are jealous of all the attention Margarito is getting (that he earned) & that he on the p4p list! They need to get over it!:hi:

Do you really beleive that? look at how many Anti Margarito threads are posted by Floyd fans, and whats more pathetic is your now using Paul Williams as foil, again none of you gave two shits about Paul prior to his fight with Margarito, once Paul was dominated by Quintana you ignored Paul Williams again until Margarito proved all of you wrong in beating Cotto.

 

Theres lots of fans like that. I can say the same thing about Pavlik, Cotto & PW. Theres lot of bandwagon posters in here, and that makes me mad.

 

its simple Margarito beat the best welter weight while Paul was busy trying to avenge the loss he had to the #6 welter dont get mad that the system is following its own rules kid.

They did their jobs, Paul lost to Quintana and during that time Margarito raked up three solid wins two over world champions all three by knock out, while Paul had only had one fight in which was the rematch with Quintana, that makes Margarito ranked higher, you dont lose a fight and keep your ranking.

 

So we're basiclly in a division where theres still no WW who's clearly the best.

After they fought, Williams looked like sheep sh-t against Quintana!
Margo on the other hand kayoed Golden Johnson, Kermit Cintron & then chewed up Cotto & made his quit for another kayo victory! You have to respect that! That is fighter of the year stuff!hat:bart
