Because as soon as a fighter loses nowadays, most of you label them as "shot" or say they were "exposed". Or altogether abandon that fighters chances in becoming something by jumping ship you fickle fans you.... And then say they don't deserve paydays or big fights, and you guys hold that **** over their heads forever like "oh he was ko'd 10 fights ago or 4 fights ago, he's over the hill" Or "he hasn't been the same since he lost will he ever recover". But if they still have an 0 you guys say they haven't fought anybody. Or they're "protected". You guys invented this bull**** now you question why?

i think it's more down to the promoters/tv networks.warren sacked khan's trainer for bringing prescott over.but let's face it,anyone can have a bad day at the office.warren should've been man enough to accept the defeat graciously, and sought an instant rematch.khan would have received more plaudits in taking that fight than beating up on an old barrera.but that's where we're at today in this dumb sport.also, there's an old saying-styles make fights(and it's true.)just because one fighter may 'have your number' doesn't make you a **** fighter.just move on and beat up someone else!

    Nail on head.

Its all about marketability. Future marketability. And it sucks ass.

  4. You lot are trapped in an ESB bubble where everything said on the general forum is gospel. It's just not true! Here are some of the top fighters right now:

    Wlad Klitschko - 3 losses
    David Haye - 1 loss
    Sergio Martinez - 2 losses
    Manny Pacquiao - 3 losses
    Carl Froch - 1 loss
    Tomasz Adamek - 1 loss
    Amir Khan - 1 loss

etc. etc. etc. I could go on. The Boxrec top 25 P4P only contain 7 fighters with their '0' intact. The question should be "why is Floyd Mayweather's '0' so important, and why do ESB posters buy into it so easily?
