Emanuel Steward gave an interview with ESB where he said Pryor did illegal stuff.

I think Whitaker would get outworked. Whitaker is the better fighter, but this is a bad matchup.

I give Mayweather a slight edge, but it would be very close as I think Mayweather can also be outworked, particularly early. A virtual pick 'em fight assuming competent neutral judges.

I favor Chavez over 15. He's not getting knocked out, and Pryor is going to take a sustained assault to the body. For the first third of the fight at least Pryor will be in Julio's preferred range. Pryor's defensive flaws won't be hidden inside against a slow handed out fighter like Arguello, and Chavez's defense is underrated. If most of the fight is being fought on the inside, I have to favor Chavez. This being said, if Pryor fights on the outside for long stretches of the fight he would take less damage. I wouldn't be shocked if Pryor won, but I would lay money against it.

Duran is a level apart. He is a clear favorite.

So now it's the 11th ,12th and 13rth rd? Have you ever considered your reaching for stuff? Maybe just possibly theirs nothing to that rumor at all? After damn near 40 yrs with all the trainers, cut men and people just hanging around that corner on that night not one has come forward and said their was something shady going on in the corner?
Maybe Pryor should be given the benefit of doubt because before or after
that fight theirs never been any issues of him using anything to create an
advantage in a boxing ring. With the only negativity being his self destructive
    life style.
It's easy too denigrate a person one doesn't like. Wild as theories are a dime
    a dozen.

I don’t consider cheats ATG. Arguello was not he best version of himself in those fights.

hes one of my old time favourites, his resume has 2 great fighters on it, a few decent ones and the rest average. but it was his style that made him great and great to watch, think he gives alot of other greats fits with it, but then some fighters could counter him to ****.

I think it's fair to rate Pryor next to Ricky Hatton. Both had a win over an aging standout (Cervantes and Zoo). Hatton lost to the best two of his generation. Pryor didn't fight the best of his generation. After that, Hatton has a supporting cast of Castillo, Urango, Malignaggi, Maussa (titlist), and a tight win over Collazo. Pryor has the second Aruguello fight, Kim, and DuJuan Johnson.

Pryor is not an ATG. He had a very limited resume and shady corner. Despite that, Pryor is still a Legend and An icon of the sport. He put on a show every time he got in the ring.
