This crazy thing where in much of the world we have laws and punishments and then we don't cap a person's income ten years afterward... Obviously he deserves being hated more than probably any other boxer out there right now but still he should certainly be allowed to box. If it bothers you; vote with your wallet!

Going a bit off trail here, but in America, I'd call this the hypocrisy of democracy. People who have no skills, that go to jail for raeping or pedophile-they get out & can't get a job because they're a felon.
Of the worst kind. So they're forced to be homeless cause no one wants them in their neighborhood...then someone who can hit hard, is allowed to make money, regardless that he did this not just to a woman, but 17 at that?
Yet, he is allowed to make a living.

Personally I've seen more hate against Ali trying to get his license back...but he's anti-american he dodged his duties...he should be banned from boxing.. He was.

And then had to fight to get the right to earn a living again.
But someone like Adonis, goes to jail -gets out and he doesnt have to deal with the real, because he has skills that some are willing to overlook his past.

What he did was a reflection of who he was/is internally, no peer pressure can make a man beat a woman like that.
And some Pimps are actually smooth with their game, others are psychotic.

Very good point What Stevenson did was attrocious he should have been jailed for life. Ike on the other hand was a case of he says she says. Ike never laid a hand on that hooker he never touched her. Neither were the police who c.laimed they had to use pepper spray to " control him : It took 14 months of badgering Ike to take a plea No Contendre with a promise he;d be back boxing in 6 months When he took it they sold him down the river

I would like to challenge your claim Muhammad Ali "dodged the draft" I do not share his religious beliefs but I do believe that was the reason he refused induction. I admire the way he stayed right here &stood up for his beliefs. The same beliefs he had for the rest of his life He could have gone t5o England or Canada & probably carried on his career. But he was denied 3 1/2 years of plying his craft as punishment

Read a lot of the thread. I'm all for 2nd chances in most circumstances. Especially for mistakes made 21 and under.

But things like pimping, murder, ****. There is no coming back from that.

Things like robbery, burglary, fraud, assault. I believe there is a path back. I'd never truly respect somebody like that. But I believe it's possible to come back from moderate or minor felonies and not be the scum of the Earth.

Changing your life around after murder or ****? There is no such thing. Once a murderer or ******, always a murderer or ******.

 

I ****ing hated Adonis Stevenson until I read many of the responses in here. Saying he deserves life in prison or shouldn’t be able to make a living shows a complete lack of perspective and is fairly backwards in thinking.
