Why is Adrien Broner fighting Gary Sykes? Is that seriously the best they could find?

He's ducking Ricky Burns.

 

I don't like Broner, but this is just dumb. Broner was all set to fight Burns when Burns decided he couldn't make the weight and moved up.

I like Burns,but I know this is preposterous,just like I know for a fact Ricky didn't duck Broner.

I remember reading on the Thursday morning that Sykes couldn't win the belt because he wasn't in the top 15,then that night it was for the belt.
Does anyone know what happened?

Basically it's a big card with it being the Khan Peterson rematch... people from both side of the Atlantic will be watching with interest and Broner is going to come across as superman to the casual fans..
