dont get me wrong he beat maidana, but we all know maidana can turn a fight around in a round like with khan and victor, and he lost to mathyse in a 10 rounder, i dont think its fair that he get full credit for going 10 rounds with dangerous guys like this. thoughts?

Should Ken Norton not get credit for beating Ali in 12 rounds when the championship fights were 15 rounds and vice versa?

Well I hate that ****** Alexander but if Maidana wanted to turn the fight around at the last second, he could have done that in round 10.

Through the first 58 fights of Sugar Ray Robinson's career, he had fought only 3 scheduled 12 rounders. He didn't fight a scheduled 15 rounder until his 76th career fight (his first title shot).

Only 24 of Henry Armstrongs' 181 career fights were scheduled above 10 rounds. 22 of those were 15 rounders, almost all of which were so because they were title fights.

I would say that those who constantly bring up the "Devon Alexander, 10 rounders" have an emphasis so greatly put on post-2000 that their opinions on such matters are close to irrelevant.

If you want a hug then sign a deal with Devon Alexander.

The dude is a straight up *****. He did not beat Maidana... he held on for dear life and the ref said nothing

oh shut up ***, u maidana nutthuggers were bitching about the 10 rounder was going to "save" Alexander but it turns out Maidana was SAVED by the 10 rounder. that mf was on his way to getting stopped and he was getting treated like a rag doll the whole. maidana had no chance in hell. completely outclassed and owned by a better fighter

    great post.

also alexander clearly could have gone 2 more rounds no problem. Yes, in his past fights he was gassed (too many wasted punches and nervous energy), but not this time.

Fact is; Alexander beat the **** out of Maidana. If that aint fair I dont know what to tell ya. I heard fair left about twenty years ago, Then I heard Cortez say that he was firm but fair so I thought it was him but a lot of people claim that he aint fair at all. So where in the **** is fair? I think I might have an idea:think its in your mind, so you should get it out cause there are people looking for it and Maidana is the main one. I know, sometimes I just gotta get my crazy on.
