To be fair, he was caught on Ostarine later. The Meldonium thing wasn't even close to the maximum allowed dosage, so it shouldn't even have prevented the fight to take place, but Wilder cried wolf. Ostarine shouldn't be in your system at all.

What are you on about? What in my post says that someone is more accountable as another? If you read correctly I'm saying that if you call upon one guy for juicing as his whole career being a wash, that would count for all others caught juicing too, opening quite the can of worms in a doping riddled sport like boxing.

October 2002 International tournament Warsaw 1st place
July 2002 European championship Perm 1st place

June 2001 World amateur championships Belfast 5th place
March 2001 Russian championship Saratov 1st place
March 2001 International tournament Halle 2nd place
November 2000 Russian championship Samara 1st place
March 2000 Russian Cup Perm 3rd place

Note that he accomplished all of that in just under 4.5 years.

Before that he enjoyed a successful kickboxing career too.

    Kickboxing competition record

June 2000 European championships (professional) Nicosia 1st place
    November 1999 W.A.K.O. World Championships 1999 Caorle 1st place
May 1998 Baltic countries cup Kaliningrad 1st place
September 1997 World Junior championship (under 19) Moscow 1st place

    Pro record:

34-2 and his only loses coming against the then WBA/IBF/WBO unified king Wlad who is one of the greats and at the time hadn't lost a fight in a decade and held huge advantages in weight, reach and height over him - and let's not forget Povetkin was subjected to a shameful amount of mauling and octopus grabbing in that fight) and against the then three-belt unified king AJ when he was 39 y/o, way past his prime and again was giving away huge advantages in weight, height and reach and he fought AJ in his backyard where everything was stacked against him. The loses against Wlad and AJ are the only 2 loses he's incurred in 168 fights (amateur and pro) he hasn't avenged.

Giving away 16lbs, 4'' in height, and 6'' in reach to Wlad

And just under 24lbs, 4'' in height, and 7'' in reach to AJ

He's got one of the best resumes of any active HW

And we don't just count his post-Wlad resume when we make that evaluation, we count his entire resume and he was fighting quality opposition from very early in his career.

Despite Povetkin having fought plenty of very durable and tough opponents his KO highlight reel is still pretty damn spectacular and he's scored a lot of brutal KOs and eye-catching finishes.

Who says ANY amount of Meldonium is allowed? Furthermore why was he taking non-FDA regulated heart medicine if he wasn't prescribed it?

None of those drugs are steroids. That is the point he is making, there is a big difference between performance enhancer and steroids.

not a steroids, its a work around drug thats used to lay down extra oxygenation vessels in the heart and body.

Its a "work around" to the steroid.

There isno doubt however that he is a dirty cheat.

The ban recently came in at the time, the people employed to drug test for the recently banned substance, had no idea how long the drug stayed in a person system, and at what amounts over a period of time. They had no idea if the amounts in Povetkin’s or other athletes was from before, or after the ban came in to place.

An athlete can pop dirty for taking a particular type cold medicine. Doesn't matter weather its legal or not. Popping heart medicine that was on the watch -list is not advisable for an professional athlete.

It was allowed in a very low dosage up until late 2016 because use of Meldonium had been allowed up until December 31, 2015 and it takes quite a while to leave the body.
He had less than a tenth in his system as was allowed by WADA at the time.

The drug was common for Russian athletes to take, and legal for decades. They caught a lot of people taking that particular drug, before they knew how long it took to clear out of their system. They had no idea if they took the drug when it was still legal, or not.

My point exactly. Meldonium, of course, is not a steroid.
